Re: Roland Virtual Sound Canvas?

2016-04-04 Thread TheOreoMonster
Anyone using any NI stuff on the mac is probably using Keyboard maestro scripts
with it. Thats basically a program that allows them to record mouse movements
to click on stuff drag, right click etc. move mouse is a free basic program
for moving the mouse around the screen in small increments i guess you can
think of it as savery basic stripped down version of something similar to what
keyboard maestro does. but they aren’t related as far as i know or by the same
developers. Justin my advice to you is to go off the beaten path and find new
sounds that others aren’t using in accessible places. Necessity is the mother
of invention .. or new sounds/genres/etc if you get what i mean .

Ventage

2016-04-04 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
Hey, was curious if anyone here might remember this from the 80's, and if so,
does anyone know what synthesizer this guy may have been using specifically?
I'd love to get me some good virtual synths to use in PT that would give me
this sort of 80's ventage sound. Xpand2's great, but I don't even think it's!
quite as good as some of these samples. For example, listen both to the base
guitar, and to the elec piano in this. Just! Steller!

So, anyway, here we go. This was taken from an eppisode, believe it or not, of
Sesame Street, but don't let that turn you off if you're not a kid at heart.
This is actually very very very musical. Again, anyone know what synth this
guy may a been using? Here's a Youtube link.

Ozone 7’s installer i don’t think is accessible so will need some eyes for that
but once installed should be useable is what i hear. I played with the rest and
they are useable. the isotope stuff have a lot of elements in the window since
its a lot of modules in a chain so there will be info overload when they are
first loaded consult the manual and start with the presets.

I kind of remember there being a virtual synth of the Yamaha SG50 way back in
the days, but whether it's available for the mac, or is accessible within

2016-04-04 Thread Chris Smart

Is anybody else entering this mixing contest?

https://www.indabamusic.com/opportunities/puremix-mixing-competition/details

I've created an account and accepted the rules, but I can't for the
life of me manage to download the stems. The closest I get is in
Firefox, where I find "stems" announced as "clickable" by my
screenreader, but hitting enter on that activates an unrelated link
on the page, like Listening Party or Community. If anyone else has
entered and can share a link to the stems, I'd be very grateful.

And of course, we can all check out each other's entries!

 Hi Ramy,

For your Avid activation issue, you'll have to get sighted assistance for
that. There's an issue with a couple of pages on the Avid web site during
 the activation process.

Regarding the iLok License Manager, I believe the problem is that you're
trying to use standard VoiceOver commands. Don't. Use Command-l to bring
focus to the locations area and then simply use the arrow keys. Same thing
with the Licenses views. Use Command-6 to focus on the licenses in the
selected location and simply use the arrow keys to navigate. In fact, 90
percent of the License Manager functionality is accessed through the
keyboard shortcuts for the application. Using VoiceOver navigation doesn't
work anywhere near as well and sometimes not at all. Listen to that
 tutorial

again and I think it might make more sense.
