Re: waves vocal override plugin

2017-04-28 Thread Brian Howerton
Hi Chuck,
Yeah, I do have the fader port 8, but was just wondering if voiceover saw the
controls so that I could use plugin monitoring from within flo tools to be able
to adjust values. That’s great that they work well with a control surface.
Very happy.

update to resizing track and clip list tables

2017-04-28 Thread Slau Halatyn
Oops, I neglected to specify which command to use for dragging the mouse.
Here's a new and improved set of instructions:
How to Resize the Track List and Clip List Tables with VoiceOver and Flo Tools

Occasionally, it might be necessary to resize either the Track List or Clip
List. One might receive a session whose lists are either too narrow or too
wide. For example, when trying to click and drag a clip from the Clip List
table to the timeline, if the Clip List table is too narrow, as VoiceOver
navigates the table, the mouse pointer can end up outside of the actual table,
making it impossible to click and drag. The Track List and Clip List tables can
be resized (that is, widened or narrowed) by clicking and dragging their
borders, the right edge for the Track List and the left edge for the Clip List.
When the cursor is in the correct position laterally, the mouse pointer changes
shape to visually indicate that the table edge will resize if dragged. For
VoiceOver users, there’s no way to know when the mouse pointer has changed
shape. So here are instructions for how to resize each table. The procedure is
similar for each table but slightly different. Before starting, make sure
VoiceOver is set to report measurements in points rather than inches. Go to
VoiceOver Utility/Verbosity category/Announcements tab and navigate to the
"Announce Size and Position In" pop-up menu and select "points."
To determine the width of either table, navigate to a table and press
VO+Command+f3. VoiceOver will announce the window name along with the session
name and then report the width and height in points. Make sure the Flo Tools
Mouse macro group is enabled. Press Command+/ (slash) to toggle the group on or
off.

Track List Table instructions:
1. Navigate to the Track List pop-up button.
2. Double-tap VO+Command+f3. VoiceOver will report the horizontal and vertical
coordinates of the pop-up button relative to the top left corner of the window.
3. Add 21 points to the horizontal coordinate (the first value). For example,
if the Track List pop-up button is 86 points right and 112 points down, add 21
to the first number. The new target coordinate would be 107 points right and
112 points down.
4. Use the "Move Mouse to Coordinates Relative to Current Window" macro to move
the mouse pointer. Press Command+Option+Shift+w and enter the coordinates. Type
the horizontal value (the value VoiceOver reported for the Track List pop-up
button plus 21), a comma then the vertical value with no spaces and press
Return. You can verify the mouse pointer position with the flo Tools "Copy and
Speak Mouse Coordinates Relative to Front Window" macro by pressing
Command+Option+Shift+c.
5. Press VO+Command+Shift+Space Bar to mouse down on the Track List table edge.
6. Drag the Mouse pointer either to the left to narrow or to the right to widen
the table using Command+Option+Shift+left or right arrow.
7. Press Command+Option+Shift+Space Bar again to mouse up. You can verify the
results by navigating back to the table and pressing VO+Command+f3 once and
VoiceOver will report the new width and height of the table.

Clip List Table instructions:
1. Navigate to the Clip List table.
2. Double-tap VO+Command+f3. VoiceOver will report the horizontal and vertical
coordinates of the table relative to the top left corner of the window.
3. Subtract 1 point from the horizontal coordinate (the first value). For
example, if the Clip List table is 1331 points right, subtract 1. The new
target coordinate would be 1330 points right.
4. Use the "Move Mouse to Coordinates Relative to Current Window" macro to move
the mouse pointer. Press Command+Option+Shift+w and enter the coordinates. Type
the horizontal value (the value VoiceOver reported for the Clip List table
minus 1), a comma then the vertical value with no spaces and press Return.
Please note that the vertical (down) value or the second number) should be the
same as the Track List and Clip List pop-up buttons’ vertical values (which are
the same. Most likely, it’ll be a value like 112.
5. Press VO+Command+Shift+Space Bar to mouse down on the Clip List table edge.
6. Drag either to the left to narrow or to the right to widen the table Using
Command+Option+Shift+left or right arrows.
7. Press Command+Option+Shift+Space Bar again to mouse up. You can verify the
results by navigating back to the table and pressing VO+Command+f3 once and
VoiceOver will report the new width and height of the table.

A few additional notes:
Generally, the narrowest width for either table defaults to either 80 or 86
points. If you continue to drag to narrow even further, at a certain point, the
table will simply disappear as Pro Tools thinks you want to hide the table. To
once again display the table, press the respective table Show/Hide buttons.

Hi Brian,
I use a avid C|24 to use all my waves plugs.
So if you have a controller you should be able to use any Waves plugs.
I think you have a fader port 8 if i remember correctly that should work if it
works ok in pt 12.7.

How to resize the Track List and Clip List tables with VoiceOver and flo Tools

2017-04-28 Thread Slau Halatyn
I threw this in the Drop Box folder but, for what it's worth, pasting it here
as well. These are specific instructions on how to resize the Track List and
Clip List tables using VoiceOver and Flo Tools.
Enjoy.

For
VoiceOver users, there’s no way to know when the mouse pointer has changed
shape. So here are instructions for how to resize each table using only
VoiceOver and Flo Tools. The procedure is similar for each table but slightly
different. Before starting, make sure VoiceOver is set to report measurements
in points rather than inches. Go to VoiceOver Utility/Verbosity
category/Announcements tab and navigate to the "Announce Size and Position In"
pop-up menu and select "points."
To determine the width of either table, navigate to a table and press
VO+Command+f3. VoiceOver will announce the window name along with the session
name and then report the width and height in points.

5. Press VO+Command+Shift+Space Bar to mouse down on the Track List table edge
and drag either to the left to narrow or to the right to widen the table and
press Command+Option+Shift+Space Bar again to mouse up.

5. Press VO+Command+Shift+Space Bar to mouse down on the Clip List table edge
and drag either to the left to narrow or to the right to widen the table and
press Command+Option+Shift+Space Bar again to mouse up.

Re: waves vocal override plugin

2017-04-28 Thread Sean A. Cummins
Hi Chuck,

I had filled out the survey that waves had sent to me recently.

My company has recommended Waves product for years, and I have
continued to converse with their support regarding accessibility.

Also, for everyone’s information, the latest Waves 9.91 bundle has now
implemented complete mapped control for all of their plug-ins for the
Avid S3 and S6S control surfaces. This is a big step in the right
direction, and if EuCon were to have a “Speech Tab” integrated into
the EuCon control protocol, just imagine what long term access there
would be in a global fashion. The EuCon control would then be able to
communicate with the OS’s speech directly like the Native Instruments
Kontrol.

And to all that may write Waves, remember the adage, “You catch more
flies with honey, then you do using vinegar.” Wink!

2017-04-28 Thread CHUCK REICHEL
Hi John & list,

this is a good time to Drop an email this guy Amir Vinci at
waves and please ask him about VoiceOver access!
On the other hand as long as you have a controller you can do it.
I have a C|24 and the Waves diamond bundle plus and work all of whats in that
bundle.
Amir thinks I'm the only VoiceOver Waves user in the world lets let him know in
a business like fashion that there are many others out here! :)
Thanks
Chuck
