Together with an outstanding crew of accessibility experts (including Slau
Halatyn and other denizens of this group) I'll be moderating an expert panel
called "Making Music Creation Accessible" at the 2018 NAMM Show in Anaheim,
California. This event, scheduled for January 26th at 3PM in the Hilton
Anaheim, will be full of live demos and practical perspective from
manufacturers, educators, and other professionals who work day to day on
accessibility issues. Let me share this article with you from the Avid
company blog that describes the event in detail. Please let me know what you
think and spread the word on your own social networks!

FloTools one-time only

2018-01-09 Thread Peter Bosher

Hi All, and Happy New Year,

I still have the issue of FloTools only working properly once, and
having to re-install it every time I start the system.

I tried uninstalling FloTools 2.31, which was the first version that
gave me the problem, and going back to version 2.30, but still have the
issue, so I suppose it must be something on my system rather than a
bug.   Would you recommend upgrading to High Sierra now, with a chance
that might fix the issue?  Anything else I could try?

Best,

Peter

Re: FloTools one-time only

2018-01-09 Thread Slau Halatyn
It's definitely not a Flo Tools issue. Sounds like your Keyboard Maestro engine
is not set to automatically start. When Flo Tools is installed, it forces a
start of the Keyboard Maestro Engine. Follow the step by step instructions in
the Flo Tools Read Me for the section on how to set the Keyboard Maestro Engine
to automatically launch in the background upon startup.

Re: FloTools one-time only

2018-01-09 Thread Slau Halatyn
Peter,
Chi just reminded me that the option for making sure the Keyboard Maestro
Engine starts up automatically is in the Keyboard Maestro Preferences. Launch
Keyboard Maestro editor and go to the Preferences and, in the General Tab,
check the first checkbox that says, "Launch Engine at Startup." Boom.
