AutoTune 7

2012-11-22 Thread Chris Norman
Hiya All,
I just got AutoTune 7 as part of a deal Antares offered me, as I have
previously purchased AutoTune EFX, and I'm just wondering, what is the benefit
when using it with VoiceOver?

I have been using AutoTune EFX for ages, and I can't seem to get AutoTune 7 to
replicate some of the things EFX would do. For example, either there is no
"type" parameter, so I can't get the hard tune effect.

I'm just wondering if this is because AutoTune 7 is too complex for me to wrap
my brain around, or if it's because VO doesn't see some of the parameters?

Cheers,

Take care,
Chris Norman

Autotune 7

2011-12-29 Thread Chris Norman
Hiya All,
Before I go ahead and buy this software, can I just check:

I'm sure I saw a message about it, and that it was accessible etc, I'm
going to try it myself, but what do people think? is it worth the $300
that it's going to cost me or not?

Cheers,

Re: AutoTune 7

2012-11-22 Thread Chris Gilland
I have found that Auto-Tune Evo is quite different than the full fledged
version of Auto-Tune. I have the full thing, and absolutely love it. What
exactly are you having issues with that makes you think it's that much more
complex. I mean, it is, yeah, but I've found the different parameters really
do make a lot of sense.

Re: AutoTune 7

2012-11-23 Thread Chris Norman
I just can't find a control for how much I want the vocals corrected.
As I said in my previous post, AutoTune EFX had an option, which could
be set to hard tune, soft tune, or simple pitch correct. Logic has a
slider for the amount of pitch correction, as does Garage Band, but AT
7 doesn't seem to have anything like this. As I said though, could be
because I missed it.

Re: AutoTune 7

2012-11-23 Thread Chris Gilland
It's there. I'm not where I can get at it right now, to tell you exactly where
it is, but they call it the detune parameter. I think by default it's at 20%.
Basically, I never have moved it, although I probably should look more at it,
quite frankly. Basically though, just interact with it, then you should be
able to change it. I think the higher the percentage, the less it will try
correcting. Someone let me know if I have this backwards.

Brian Howerton, I know you are on this list, and use Auto-Tune some as you're
the one who tought me how to use it. Maybe you can chime in here and help us
out. :)

Alls I want to do with it really is make some stuff more in tune, I'm
not a big fan of the tepane effect, will it be better than AutoTune
EFX? which I already have LOL, so not sure if AT 7 is worth the
substantially bigger price tag.

Cheers.

Hiya mate, I'm using the Euphonix MC2 control surface, not sure if I got the
name right, but can I control the parameters from the keyboard? are they
accessible enough for that?

Cheers.
