Re: OS version & ProTools
First, if this is concerning Mac OS and application downloading, it's more appropriate for the Mac visionaries list. Apart from that, yes, set your mouse pointer to follow the voiceOver cursor. Short of that, route the mouse pointer with Control-Option-Command-f5. The new marketplace isn't yet accessible but it's not a mandatory feature. Let me just qualify my statements here by saying that, at the studio, I'm on version 11. The only versions of 12 that I've used have been beta on a secondary bootup drive and that is purely for accessibility testing. I haven't spent loads of time in 12 and, by initial appearances, it's the same as 11 in all other respects apart from the setup dialog. Some new features in the I/O Setup appear to be accessible. Nick, What you're probably encountering is the Pace license window which is not currently accessible. You need to download your authorization license to your iLok key. Once you've done that, you won't see that window again. Re: OS version & ProTools
Aside from some weirdness in the session setup dialog, the rest of it is pretty much the same as with version 11. Well, the only current issue that I can think of is that the default behavior of some UI elements doesn't seem to register. In other words, simply pressing space bar on certain items doesn't activate them. The workaround is to route the mouse pointer to the VoiceOver cursor and either click a track pad or use Shift-Control-Option-Space Bar. It's a fairly minor issue.
