XForm Pro VS Pitch N' Time

2017-01-04 Thread Kevin Reeves
Hey folks.
Is the "XForm Rendered Only" algorithm different than the $499 real time XForm
Plugin offered by Avid?
Am I only getting real time control of my TCE and Pitch shifting through this
upgrade, or is there an actual difference in the Isotope Radius algorithm?
There appear to be no real comparisons online, and unfortunately, my ILOK key
broke during the time I had the demo activated. In result, I never got a chance
to experiment with it.
I'm torn between this and Serato Pitch N' Time. Unfortunately, P N T can't be
used within elastic pitch or TCE, so I'd have to do those edits manually via
the Audio Suite window, which sucks, but if it's better quality, it's time well
spent.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin

Re: Pitch 'n time

2015-01-20 Thread Mike Lockett
John maybe the confusion is,
in my explanation.
So I’ll try again,
Pitch -n Time pro V3 will work in PT 10.3.5 and PT11 and higher.
In PT 10.3.5 the parameters can’t be read by voice over, but you can use the
shortcut keys I referred to in my earlier email.
There is a shortcut command to move semitones but cents can only be adjusted
visually at this time…
Now in PT11 and higher, you can interact with the parameters
in which case you can adjust semitones and cents individually.
Cents can only be incremented %17 at a time..
This is because of V-O and not Pitch -n Time.
Hope this helps

Hi John,

You can adjust the parameter in one cent increments. In addition, you can
adjust in percentages, note values, etc. In fact, there are dozens of editable
parameters between the pitch and time domains. Also, there are options for
resetting parameters back to defaults.

Thanks for the info but to be sure, can one move in shorter increments in cents?

Meaning I want to move smaller then semi tones 50 cents.

Its in PT10 where you have to use short cut keys to move semitones.

Theres know shortcut to move cents.
But in PT11 the parameters can be control by V-O.
When the plug-in window is open, interact with plug-in view,
go to output percent view interact with it,
V-O up or down to change the cents.
Hope this helps.
