Ah ok. Sorry for assuming. I got all three when I 
bought the gold bundle years back. Anyway, I do 
like it. I sometimes run a couple of them on a 
vocal, both set for very light compression.

A limiter is like a compressor but with an extreme ratio, 100:1 or more.

The CLA2A is an emulation of the LA2A, an old
hardware unit. I'm sure some googling will get

hardware worked. You may wish to do this for the
other two compressors in the bundle, the Waves
emulation of the LA3 and the Euri 1176. all classics.

Color generally refers to a specific or signature sound that a piece of gear 
gives to a track or tracks of audio. When you hear the term uncolored or clean 
it means that that compressor, mic or whatever have you allows the audio to run 
through without affecting the tone of the audio. You have clean compressors and 
then you have tube compressors, tube compressors will almost always change the 
tone of a sound. Transformers, circuit design, and various tubes all can change 
the color that a plug or piece of gear infuses into the audio. This is the 
short exclamation now you can research more if you want.

The CLA2A has a fair amount of color. Usually for 
mastering, you want limiting and compression that 
is transparent. But hey, try it. There are no rules.

I will share it over there and mention that it is on I tunes. The shaker is no 
big deal, I probably noticed it because it reminded me of a shaker I used one 
time and felt a certain way about it down the road, so I have a personal 
vendetta  with it. I will try and take a listen to the whole album.

Hey Chris glad you like the song. This is the title track of my album. Paint 
your cactus green. It’s actually on iTunes now. so if you want to hear the 
whole album i’d be interested in your thoughts. A few things in the production 
i listen to now and may have done differently, but i guess that’s the thing 
with most production I guess. Anyway this song i shared has just been entered 
in to the australian top 20 count down broadcast on 989 fm here in brisbane. So 
i’m hoping it stays there a while.

as well as L1 and a couple other in the L family, but I have almost primarily

I use the l3-16 all the time.
Thats your final insert what were on the other inserts?
IE Waves  kramer tape and nls.

Thats where the concept of "sound Picture recording" came from, painting a 
sound picture with your song.

I absolutely love! the country feel to this track!  Very well done.  I don't 
have a single one complaint.  The mix was excellent, the levels were 
absolutely perfect, the EQ on the vocal was very very well done, and I love 
the backing harmoney vocals.

Wow, I like that. I think I could listen to a whole album with that vibe. The 
only thing I would think about changing, I imagine that you have maybe already 
thought about yourself, that dang shaker that pops up, either turn it way down 
or just kick it out IMO, GRIN. Either way, I think that it is a nice warm piece 
that is a very listenable track.
