Re: Slau, if u get this by 2:30 NY time

Joe!
Don't buy this guy's story. The Control 24 is already missing support for
new features like HEAT. I could only imagine that the Pro Control even more
so. As to my knowledge they are still supporting the C24, but my impression
is that they are moving to the Euphonix as their entry level surface and the
d-command ext as their high end stuff.
Also remember that the C24 will only work with Pro Tools. I agree with Slau
I would go for the C24 if I had to make a choice.
One last thing: why the rush? Are you really pressed for a surface today?
This guy just wants to dump his stuff on you. If you think you are willing
to commit to PT, then invest the cash in the C24.
As for the HD question, I would consider what kind of projects you plan on
doing. The native stuff is probably more than you may need any way. Add to
the many options for interfaces and you have a lot of possibilities
available. Just spend some time thinking about your budget and work flow
needs and make an educated decision.

Hope this helps,
Vinny

I'm leaving to go pick one up in an hour. Just some more quick info,
the Pro Control is with the fader packs and monitor section so it is
24 faders and the guy claims it does better with mapping plugins than
the C|24. I hope u get this before I leave. Does that change anything?
He seems to really be pushing me to get the Pro Control although the C|
24 is newer and doesn't come with that crazy desk. Is the price good
for either one?
