RE: Strike

2017-01-18 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hi Slau!

Thanks fort he zip.
The folders look the same like the ones on PTWS, but maybe the internal
settings are updated.

Later this day I'll download and install Strike out of the expansion pack.
I'll let you know, if the presets will be there after the installation.
If not, I take yours.

Is there anything to care ablut during the installation to get the presets?

Re: Strike

2017-01-17 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hi Slau!

Talking about that version of Strike2 which is not comming with the expansion
pack, there are no presets in my folder:
Mac OSX ▸ Programme ▸ AIR Music Technology ▸ Strike

The Pro Tools Plug/In file Strike.aax is version 2.0.7.19000.

Path: Mac OSX ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Avid ▸ Audio ▸ Plug-Ins

Could this be a difference between the two versions?

Hi Martin,

Not that I have found yet. However, once you are in a location of a
drum such as ch.1, which is the kick, then you can move up and down
and more often than not, you are moving from ch.1, to ch.2 and so on.
Then moving left and right now moves you through that part of the
columnar list.

Keep exploring, and fill me in on if you come up with some great new
epiphanies. Grin!

Re: Strike

2017-01-17 Thread Sean A. Cummins
Martin,

To my knowledge, the version is the same. So preset should be fine.
Most all of the parameters are available, however there’s a massive
number to deal with; you will see that most all of the drums and their
related parameters are in groups label ch.1, ch.2, ch.3 etc. Using
the item chooser, you can narrow down the list you have to work with
on any given drum by typing in the corresponding Ch value of a drum
you want. Their Levels, tuning and on and on.

Do some exploring and learn the names of common values such as the
word room, you will see there is the master level, individual drum
rooms and their respective levels. Learning the visual concept of how
it’s laid out is not as important as realizing that AIR has,
thankfully, labeled an enormous amount of the parameters we can
access.

Do I still need the presets from ProToolsWithSpeech after installing the

Hello,

Installed the plug-in and what a sound. Not sure how to switch paynes such as

I have other questions but I don’t want to clutter the list.

I downloaded the presets from protoolswithspeech.

To write me off list would be good.

2015-12-21 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi John,

Glad to hear it' appeals to you at the outset. As you can see, within the
parameters there are a ton of controls. I personally haven't even gotten to the
point where I need to address styles. There's so much within the set of
patterns that are available by default across the keyboard. One thing to try is
using the mod wheel to control how simple or complex the patterns play. It's a
fantastic tool for putting together a drum performance. I'd say the sounds are
clearly not on the level of some other packages, as good as they are, but I
wouldn't consider this a replacement for a real drummer. It is, however, a
great way to demo material and even create a groove to establish tempo maps and
arrangements—a great virtual instrument.

Routing individual channels in Strike 2

2014-11-16 Thread John André Lium-Netland
Hi,

Can anyone confirm that it’s not possible to route individual channels in
Strike 2 to aux inputs in PT when using VoiceOver. I know the setting is there
somewhere, as described in the manual, but I can’t find it with Voiceover. I
was assuming it would be among the channel settings for each drum, but none of
them was related to outputs.

Best,

Any Strike 2 users out there had this happen?

2014-09-03 Thread Krister Ekstrom
Hello again and please forgive me for pestering you yet again. I’m having a
somewhat strange issue here: I’m trying to do a drum track with Strike as my
plugin and suddenly my Digi003 takes over the adjustment of various parameters
that normally only should be adjustable when in plugin adjustment modes, that
is moving faters change equalizing, volume, if hihat should be open or closed
and so on and no matter what i do it looks as the Digi003 will not relinquish
these controls. Furthermore when i try to do a drum track with Addictive drums
as my plugin of choice various drum sounds get assigned to various buttons of
the digi003 such as the control buttons etc. What could possibly be wrong here?

Instructions for Structure, Strike and moving libraries

2014-08-01 Thread 'Hi' via Pro Tools Accessibility
You will need sighted assistance for these steps. The Structure
Plug-in

guide states the following:
To allow Structure to find the samples belonging to the factory library
patches, do not separate the folder named Structure Encrypted Samples
and the Patch
folder named Structure Factory Libraries. Structure will find and load
its relevant samples on any drive as long as the folder layout is
intact. It has been found that this is not always ideal, and moving the
folder
containing the patches to a location other than the default can cause
difficulties
later on. If you do choose to move your factory content, it is usually
more effective to leave the actual 'Structure Factory Libraries' folder
in it's default install location, and instead only move the 'Structure
Encrypted Samples' folder to whatever location you choose.
To point Structure to the new location after moving the 'Structure
Encrypted Samples' folder:

1. Go to Structure's Setup page, select the Content tab.
2. In the Content Search Folders section, type in
the new path of the Structure Factory Libraries folder.
3. Click Search Now.
Leaving the Structure patches in the default location and only moving
the samples themselves should keep the database and favorites intact.

Re: Where to place the Strike presets

2014-07-30 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
I think, and I may be understanding this wrong, you can put them anywhere.
It's more just a matter of getting someone sighted to help you tell the
plugin where they're at on your drive. I confess that I don't understand
why that wouldn't be accessible though. Isn't it just a browse file/folder
Finder window? If not, then my apologies. Again, it's possible I'm wrong
in all areas of this response, but this is at least how I! understood it.

Subject: Where to place the Strike presets

Hi all,
Recently i got the Presets for Strike 2 and Structure 2 that Sonar Switcher
i think the persons name was had done in order to make these virtual
instruments accessible. Now i have known this but my memory is very intense
the 20 seconds it lasts, so could someone out there remind me where to put
those presets in order for Pro tools to make use of them?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Where to place the Strike presets

2014-07-30 Thread Krister Ekstrom
I don't know how it is with Strike, but i think i actually have managed to tell
PT or rather the plugin where to find the presets for Addictive drums all on my
own. God knows how i did it, it's a while back, but i'm sure i somehow did it.

I think, and I may be understanding this wrong, you can put them anywhere.
It's more just a matter of getting someone sighted to help you tell the
plugin where they're at on your drive. I confess that I don't understand why
that wouldn't be accessible though. Isn't it just a browse file/folder
Finder window? If not, then my apologies. Again, it's possible I'm wrong in
all areas of this response, but this is at least how I! understood it.

Placing strike and structure settings solved i think.

2014-07-30 Thread Krister Ekstrom
Hello,
Remember i said i seemed to recall how to make presets visible in the Strike
plugins popup menu that says ”factory defaults”? Well i think i’ve actually
solved this. I don’t know how your system is set up but at least on my pt11, i
found that if you copy your strike presets to the folder ”plugin settings” in
/library/app support/digidesign/, then the strike presets are actually visible
in the library menu of the Strike plugin in Pro tools.
Note that the Library i’m talking about here is not the user library but the
one in the root of your main hard disk. Now you can change presets from the
library popup menu but if it has any effect is yet to be seen as i haven’t
checked that out yet.
Hope this is of any help.

A few questions about the Strike and Structure presets

2014-07-26 Thread Krister Ekstrom
Hi and once again thanks to the one on this list who did the Strike and
Structure presets, i have a couple of questions though: Where would i unpack
the presets to and how would i go about pointing the settings file in the right
direction, that is, to where the presets are located? Yes i know i must have
sighted assistance to do this, but in order to tell them what to do i have to
know myself.
Thanks in advance.

I think Transfuzer is a soft synth? i know strike is a soft synth which
specialises in drum sounds, and is far better than the bomb synth that comes

Re: anyone mess with transfuser or strike

2014-01-15 Thread John André Lium-Netland
Hi,

Both are available for PT11 if you buy the AIR Expansion Pack version 2. The
price is about $299, but you can also upgrade for $99 from version 1. Most
parameters are accessible under PT11. I think there is a couple of functions
that are not, but I can't list them.. yet.

Be aware that it's somewhat tricky to make PT11 to use the Expansion Pack
presets at first glance, but all you have to do is to move them to the
Documents/Pro Tools/plugin settings folder for each instrument.

Best,
John André
