Thanks for the offer but I don't trust torrented software.

Slau, how would one go about downgrading once ml is purchased from the
app store?

Thanks,

Cameron.

Re: Tracking down OSX Lion?

Truthfully, I never usually use it, but I didn't really have much choice, as I
tried to go through the official channels first, and couldn't find any legal
way of obtaining Snow Leopard that was fast enough.

Also, I'd purchased SL in the past, so I didn't feel bad about getting it
torrented just the once.

Cheers,

Take care,

Chris Norman.

Re: Tracking down OSX Lion?

2013-01-04 Thread Geoff Shang

Hi,

If you've purchased it from the Mac App store, you should be able to
redownload it. When it opens the installer, go find it in your downloads
or applications folder (I think it's in the latter place) and make a copy
of it. Then you can either quit the installer or go ahead and install.

If you've not bought it on the mac app store and you can't find it there
anymore, see if anyone you know can do the above. Then they could use
something like Lion Disk Maker http://blog.gete.net/lion-diskmaker-us/

We have done this a couple of times.

Geoff.

Re: Tracking down OSX Lion?

2013-01-04 Thread Chris Norman
When I phoned Apple, they said they are still selling it, but only while stocks
last. And stocks hadn't lasted in any of the 3 nearest stores to me.

Seems they have got copies, but they're not restocking, so if they're out,
they're out.

Cheers,

Take care,

Chris Norman.

Hi, My views are if a program is no longer being sold and you need it for
any reason for accessibility or other reasons then downloading it however
you can get it is fine as the company is no longer selling it so no real
 loss for them. Nick Gawronski

Hi everybody. since Mountain Lion, voiceover, and pro tools don't play

Hi, Make sure you are connected to the internet and hold down command and
option then r you should boot into the Lion recovery image over the internet.
That is what I read on line and it works for me connected to my secured
wireless network as it must get the key from the installed copy. I have Lion
on one partition and Mountain Lion on the other so the normal command and r
boots the Mountain Lion recovery. Nick Gawronski

Hi. Sorry, I should have been more specific... I'm upgrading from sl

Cameron,

For what you would've paid for Lion, just buy Mountain Lion and downgrade.
