Re: Universal Audio Apollo Twin SOLO

2014-04-07 Thread Nick Gawronski
Hi, I have heard of these interfaces and was wondering a few things
about them. I would like an interface to connect to my mac book pro
that I can take with me traveling and that has at least two microphone
dual jacks that can have the quarter inch and XLR plugs like a combo
plug. I probably would also want two headphone jacks so each user could
hear themselves and would prefer an interface that did not require any
external power source and can record at 96 KHZ the maximum that pro
tools 11 normal version supports. I have my digi 003 to do the mixing
on at home and was thinking of this interface for traveling. Would
these interfaces work for me or is there a better option? Nick Gawronski

Optical input lets you add up to eight more inputs via ADAT.
Who has the most cost effective price on it?, I saw $699.00 so far!

Hi:
I only have the PCIE cards, not the rack mount, and that wouldn't work on a mac
even if you had a Mac pro tower. You have to use the rack mount ones on the
Mac, which I think now support thunderbolt.

Re: Universal Audio Apollo Twin SOLO

2014-04-04 Thread mcdiemert .
My opportunity to use it was in pt 10 with RTAS plugs. I did not try
the optical connection though I thought of doing so with my scarlet
18i20. As I mentioned, I deffinitly plan on grabbing one. As a note,
keep in mind they are thunder bolt only for connectivity obviously
this can be an issue for anyone with an slightly older MB.
