Re: protools 2018-12 and mohave
Pro Tools is only accessible for us on the Mac using Mac OS. It doesn't work with VST instruments but instead uses it's own format. If you want to use VST instruments then you will need to either stay in Windows and use Samplitude or Reaper or use compatible VST instruments on the Mac using Logic. There are definitely more free VST instruments on the Windows side than there are on the Mac. Hi, As far as I know, it’s not a problem to install an earlier version of the OS when a new machine has arrived… At least not the most recent previous system. It’s available in the App Store. Maybe it’s also possible to simply restart the machine in recover mode and access the installer for a previous system from there? I don't do anything commercial with it, but if I did, and my system was functioning amazingly and stable using an older OS, I wouldn't change it. Re: protools 2018-12 and mohave
Hmm… not exactly sure what you mean by "safe." Many studios stay on prior operating systems for a long time. If you're only using your personal laptop for Pro Tools rather than a dedicated machine, I can certainly see the slight dilemma but, frankly, it's a non-issue for most people. Whatever the case, yeah, it's just the lay of the land with Pro Tools and you either live with it or don't. As much as I love working with Pro Tools, it really is a slow-moving train where compatibility is concerned. I want to make the jump, but I can't if I want to keep my studio environment safe. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Pro Tools Accessibility" group. Re: protools 2018-12 and mohave
Mojave, spelled with a J, is not yet supported by Pro Tools. A Google search for Avid system compatibility pretty much brings up the info straight away for future reference. I wonder is protools 2018-12 compatible with mohave? Thanks. -- Your life is like a penny. You're going to lose it. The question is: How do you spend it?
