[python-uk] PSF Python Developer Survey 2018

2018-10-10 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

Last time I forwarded something from the PSF (the *volunteer led*
organisation responsible for supporting and developing the Python
programming language), all of the responses on this list and even some
to my personal email were of a critical nature (concerning grammar, the
sorts of questions and even the point of such surveys).

Therefore, it is with some trepidation that I point you towards the
PSF's Python developer survey, 2018:

https://surveys.jetbrains.com/s3/c17-python-developers-survey-2018

Best wishes,

Nicholas.

Andrea,

Sorry... there's a bug, the farewell function returns a SadnessOverload

I'd like to wish you the best of luck for your return to Italy -- the UK

We should totally meet for a drink/coffee/lunch very soon.

He's just announced a grant for Python people who do "art" / creative

Please share this news far and wide and/or (if you feel you qualify)
apply for the grant yourself.

Re: [python-uk] Using your Python career to make the world a better place (for real!)

2018-07-17 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Folks,

I've worked with Steve over the course of several years. For instance,
he designed the snakes used extensively by PyCon UK but which were
originally for the education track and creation of educational resources
(and they're released as a free-to-use community resource too). We've
also worked on several other web based Python-y projects.

You really *do* want to look into working with him if he has an
opportunity for you to do so.

NOTE: Steve didn't ask me to write this email... in fact, he's probably
as surprised as you are by this email. Let that be a signal of the high
regard I have for him and his colleagues. I can't recommend Steve and
Dev Society highly enough.

[python-uk] Fwd: [PSF-Community] Python Software Foundation Survey

2018-07-02 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey

Hi Folks,

The PSF would like to know what you know about the PSF.

If I say any more, I'll defeat the object of the questionnaire linked to
in the forwarded email below.

The more answers we get from the Python community, the more voices are
heard. Please consider taking just a moment or two to fill out the survey.

Best wishes,

Hello, fellow Pythonistas!

The PSF would very much like to find out what you do - /or don't/ - know
about our foundation. Our short survey takes just 5 minutes to complete
and your input will help us be better at communicating our initiatives
and goals.

[python-uk] Quick! EuroPython CfP is open (for only two weeks)

2018-05-07 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

https://blog.europython.eu/post/173666124852/europython-2018-call-for-proposals-cfp-is-open

The wonderfully cosmopolitan and friendly EuroPython is happening in
Edinburgh *the week before the Edinburgh Festival starts*. Because of
various reasons things have been slow off the mark this year which means
the CfP (which just opened -- see linked blog post) is only open for two
weeks.

Get your proposals in fast! Then the unique-to-EuroPython community
voting process so the conference welcomes a diverse range of speakers
presenting on subjects currently of interest to the Python community.

Many moons ago, EuroPython is where I did my very first ever conference
talk (about the London Python Code Dojo) and you won't find a more
welcoming, diverse or friendly crowd to present to.

If you're not sure and / or seeking advice, please don't hesitate to get
in touch with me and I'll try to help as best I can. The upshot is, just
dive in, you'll be supported and won't regret it.

Best wishes,

[python-uk] Do you use Python..? (Of course you do...)

2018-04-21 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

Time for a guilt trip that can easily be countered by a small and
painless transaction (skip to the end for the link)... ;-)

Do you use Python? (Of course you do!)

It's cool to benefit from such a great ecosystem & related
infrastructure, right..?

As you're all aware, the Python Software Foundation (PSF) support this
community and pay the bills for quite a number of aspects of it (eg, who
pays for PyPI, core-Python sprints costs etc?). The PSF also gives away
most of its money as grants to community based events, educational
outreach, conferences (including PyCon UK) and development sprints to
groups from all over the world. As a member of the grants working group
I see the huge impact such support has for the continued flourishing of
Python the language and Python the community.

I'm sad (and a tad frustrated) to report that ONLY 52 PEOPLE HAVE
DONATED to the relatively modest $20k PSF donation drive.

* If you're someone who thinks, "I'd love to support the Python
community but I just don't have time to volunteer" -- then making a
small contribution via the site linked below is *how you fulfil your
desire to support*.

* If you're someone who works at a company who makes heavy use of Python
and its related infrastructure then please consider making a donation as
an individual (after all, your job relies on this community and its
efforts) and also encourage your managers to make a corporate donation.

* If you're someone who simply doesn't have the spare cash, that's fine!
But if you can encourage those in a position to contribute (such as your
employer perhaps?) that would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the link:

https://www.python.org/psf/donations/2018-q2-drive/

Thank you in advance for your support!

Best wishes,

N.

Hi Russel, Hello Everyone,

That's very kind of you. However, I've just posted the following article
on my personal blog that explains why Peter and I shouldn't be nominated
(as well as why the award was created):

http://ntoll.org/article/saying-thank-you

It boils down to this: the John Pinner award is for the unsung heroes.
People like me and Peter already get recognition in the community (for
example, I've already been given the PSF's community service award) and
so many people don't get the thanks they deserve. This award is for them.

I hope this makes sense! As always, I'm more than happy to answer any
questions.

[python-uk] One of our own as an inspiring woman in tech...

2017-07-13 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

You may not realise, but our very own Carrie Anne Philbin has been
nominated for this year's award as an inspiring woman in tech. We all
know she's an inspiring woman in tech *anyway* but if you believe her
contributions to our community, education and diversity in technology
deserve celebration and recognition you can vote for her here:

http://www.computerweekly.com/news/450422519/Voting-open-vote-now-for-t
he-most-influential-woman-in-UK-tech-2017

It's very easy to vote, they don't require you to sign up or anything
and it'd be wonderful if Carrie Anne was recognised! Please spread the
word and vote! :-)

Best wishes,

[python-uk] Summer training (from India with love)

2017-04-19 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

Please pass this onto anyone you may know who'd benefit from this.

Since the mid-00's Kushal Das has been running free online training
courses delivered via IRC for beginner programmers in India. When I
spoke at PyCon India in 2015 and asked the assembled conference how many
of them had started via Kushal's efforts, a significant minority (of
around 1.5k) put up their hands.

It's delivered via IRC, covers all the basics for Python programming in
a FLOSS environment and includes "guest" speakers (including yours truly).

He's running it again this year. Only this time, Kushal would like to
try an experiment and spread the net wider.

If you know of anyone who would benefit from free, high quality remote
training, please point them to:

https://dgplug.org/summertraining17/

I'm more than happy to answer any questions.

FWIW, Kushal is a legend. His efforts, reach and outcomes when it comes
to building a Python community dwarf all others. India's flourishing
Python community is largely down to the efforts of Kushal and his allies
(PyCon India is the second largest PyCon in the world, at close to 2000
attendees).

We all have so much to learn from Kushal.

Best wishes,

Careful what you ask for. ;-)

I was really impressed by your student's work. Please let me know when
you do it again - I'd love to see what they get up to.

In terms of what you could do, it's a bit of a long shot but I think it
could be a fun project for someone who wouldn't mind learning about
JavaScript and refactoring.

What we're missing is a browser based micro:bit emulator. A teacher with
a CS degree has already created something that fits the bill perfectly,
but it's quite tightly coupled to their code playground website. It's
MIT licensed so it's totally free to repurpose. A fun task might be to
extract the emulator from the wider website and turn it into a drop in
solution. The source code is here:
https://github.com/pddring/createwithcode and an example website is
here: https://tools.withcode.uk/create/

It'd be great to make this available so anyone could write some Python
code in a blog post (for example) or the Python editor, and, at the
click of a button, it gets run in the browser to illustrate what it does.

Thoughts?

Having said that, if anyone else in the wider community wants to have a
crack at it I'd love to hear from you! :-)

All the best,

Nope, it's nothing to do with PXT (created by Microsoft from their
TouchDevelop platform). What they do share is a re-use of Google's
Blockly project to make the blocks work. The other thing they share is
they target the micro:bit -- we use MicroPython, PXT transpiles blocks
to Javascript and then to something a bit similar to the CLR layer
flashed onto the device.

I was asked how much effort it would take to make a blocks based UI, and
after a couple of weeks we had what you see at the link I posted.

One thing we're missing is a browser based emulator, but there's one
been built by another member of the community which we could re-purpose.

Yes, the trailing slash (or lack thereof) is a known problem. To be
clear, there needs to be a trailing slash in the URL!

Unfortunately, it's the micro:bit foundation who are hosting this and
I'm nothing to do with how they configure their redirects.

Here's an alternative link (the target the original -- and easy to
remember -- URL points to):

http://python.microbit.org/blocksalpha/0.1.0-blocksalpha/editor.html

Have fun!

Also, it's not supposed to be mobile friendly, it's a text editor at
heart. ;-)

Hi Folks,

Several of us have been busy hacking together a blockly based UI for
MicroPython on the BBC micro:bit (thanks Carlos).

The ALPHA version can be found here and it needs people to take it for a
test drive (just click on the blocks icon and you'll find something that
looks like Blockly / Scratch).

All feedback, ideas and bug reports are most welcome (use the link

via GitHub is preferred!

This is ALPHA software for the purposes of testing. Don't rely on it to
actually work!

Please share this information far and wide. Remember Linus's law: given
enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow.

Async related stuff was something I thought about mentioning to the

things they wanted to watch) so dropped it.

Now that micro:bit is both slowing down and speeding up in different
ways I'm trying to find time to work on my DHT project (drogulus) and
migrate it to the new syntax. Who knows, I may even get it to actually
work. ;-)

[python-uk] What trends should we watch Python during 2017..?

2016-12-07 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
I've been asked to answer this. I've already replied but I wonder what
the wider community think..?

My response mentioned:

* MicroPython bringing Python to embedded / IoT communities (and such
communities into the Python world).

* Python 2 / Python 3 (a perennial)

* Python in education: with the micro:bit, Calliope (German micro:bit)
and Adafruit all settling on MicroPython lots of kids and teachers will
be learning Python next year. Also viz RPi - now the most successful
computing in education project in history if measured in terms of
devices shipped (and they promote Python too).

* Python in data science. If the London PyData is anything to go by,
things have only just started in this respect.

Care to add anything else..? What about technical things to watch out
for..? Will Larry complete his Gilectomey..?

Season's greetings...

[python-uk] Roadmap for Mu - a beginner's editor

2016-10-29 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

Apologies for cross posting - but these email lists contain people who
may be interested in or who may already know about Mu - an editor for
beginner programmers that was written as part of the BBC micro:bit project.

I've promised this for a while and have finally got round to writing it
- the Mappa MUndi, or roadmap for Mu.

https://github.com/mu-editor/mu/pull/180

I'd love feedback!

This is a straw man so please feel free to review it, provide
constructive critique and suggest ideas. I'm not precious about anything
I write, so, jump in!

Thanks in advance,

As people have mentioned, the consensus that I've seen is that posting a
job ad is fine so long as it's not recruiter spam.

Of course, recruiters advertising for a specific job with an appropriate
level of detail about the job in question (location, salary, expectation
of role, desired skills and experience, information about what the
company does) is also fine.

What is recruiter spam? How about, "exciting opportunity for Python
ninja in green-field project at one of London's most exciting employers"
is, IMHO, NOT welcome. It's just meaningless noise and probably
recruitment phishing.

Hope this helps,

Peter,

This is very sad news. :-(

I remember Rob giving me a massage in Florence. As he was doing so he
explained that his massage-a-thons were the second highest source of
donated income for the PSF. A truly wonderful result for which Rob
should be congratulated. I also appreciated the good grace he showed as
people paid him NOT to massage them while eating their conference dinner
at EuroPython.

Best wishes to Rob and Ann.

Re: [python-uk] Volunteers wanted for an academic project

2016-07-17 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Deborah,

Sounds intriguing.

You've told us what the skill-set is but not much else about the
project. For people to get a better sense of the time commitment and
skill level you need, can you let us know what you're expecting?

For example, it *could* be something really simple for an experienced
programmer to do, or it may be the moon on a stick. One immediate way
the Python community can help you is by giving you an estimate of the
time and amount of work you'll need to make your project work.

Looking forward to hearing more...

Also, if you want to meet real Python programmers and learn some Python
yourself, you should probably book yourself a ticket to this year's
PyCon UK in Cardiff (http://pyconuk.org/)

Best wishes,

Nicholas.

2016-05-18 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
For what it's worth... my degrees in music and philosophy are the best
investment of time and effort I ever made. I use the skills I learned
whilst taking those courses *every* day in my job as a programmer and I
also believe I'm a better person as a result.

My computing degree, on the other hand, is completely out of date and
most of it was an exercise in passing exams so I could get my first job.

If I'm ever hiring people and notice they have backgrounds in the arts
and/or humanities along with evidence of autodidactic and competent
coding skills via open source projects they usually get my immediate
interest.

As someone with a background in Philosophy I can see where your friend
is coming from. ;-)

As far as I can tell, the bootcamps are not worth the money for the
following reasons:

* They're expensive for what you get.
* They're all about cramming facts.
* They teach specific technologies rather than software engineering.

Having said that, some may be quite good but your mileage might vary.

What I would do is find a university that does evening classes (such as
Birkbeck College, University of London) or sign up to the OU for a
taster, and take an introductory course in programming. I'd also
encourage your friend to think of a problem they're interested in and
use that as the basis / inspiration for learning things. If they want to
learn Python, bring them to the London Python Code Dojo and get them to
engage with the community. Finally, if they want to jump in with both
feet, they could sign up for a "conversion" MSc in Computing (for people
with undergraduate degrees in non-computing subjects). That's what I did.

Hope this helps,

N.

[python-uk] Anyone in Maidstone or Worthing tomorrow / Wednesday?

2016-03-21 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

I'm afraid I've cocked up. With the release of the micro:bit tomorrow
and illness in the family I've dropped the ball for two CAS
teacher/developer workshops.

The first is *tomorrow* at Maidstone Grammar School. The second is in
Worthing. All you'll need do is turn up at around 4pm to help some
teachers work through the tutorials / work described here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Fv4Tu1bXSD1BpNKI2YT2MkBzzxlKx0X0WXf6n5A995A/edit?usp=sharing

It's friendly and relaxed and the teachers basically need encouragement
and their questions answering.

If you're able to help, please get in touch with me directly (ntoll
ntoll org).

Thanks!

[python-uk] Calling Norwich-ish Pythonistas for Monday at 4:30

2016-03-19 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

If you remember, I asked for volunteers to help teachers in some
workshops. I've been organising these "off list" with those who stepped
up and they've been going rather well.

However, there's always a spanner in the works.

I've just found out that the University of Herts (who told me their
workshops would be in St.Albans) have organised a workshop in Norwich,
on Monday at 4:30 pm. Norwich is obviously in Herts.

So, anyone within striking distance of Norwich at that time fancy
helping some teachers learn Python on the micro:bit..? Any Cambridge
Pythonistas available..?

If so please get in touch ASAP.

Phew...

Hi Tim,

No... (that was sent off list). They've apparently organised two. The
one on the original date is now in Norwich and the Hatfield date is now
Wednesday evening as per the instructions I sent off list.

Of course, if anyone is near Hatfield on Wednesday at 4:30 pm you're
welcome to turn up to that workshop too... drop me a line.

Yours cat-herding-ly, ;-)

[python-uk] Tomorrow's London micro:bit / teacher mentoring

2016-02-24 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

I arrived back from California yesterday and I'm slowly getting through
my emails and I've prodded the CAS people.

The quick take away is that the session scheduled for tomorrow doesn't
require developers. It's turned into a bunch of teachers working out
what they'd like to learn about the micro:bit.

The upshot is that there will be several mentoring opportunities over
the spring but the London crowd are organising themselves.

I've been quite overwhelmed with the response - both in terms of the
volume of emails I've had and the awesomeness of the UK's Python community.

Rest assured, I'm on it and I'll ping out emails for the different
centres as soon as I have more details.

Best wishes,

Nicholas.

Re: [python-uk] URGENT: Volunteers for teacher collaboration please... :-)

2016-02-17 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Steve,

The initial list of locations came from CAS. The major centre in the
West country is Plymouth. Unfortunately, no-one from that centre
expressed an interest.

However, if you can get together a group of Pythonistas and a suggested
location I can prompt CAS again. CAS are being very supportive, but as a
grass-roots movement they can only work with those who "step up" as it were.

Interested?

[python-uk] URGENT: Volunteers for teacher collaboration please... :-)

2016-02-17 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

I realise I must sound like a stuck record about this sort of thing -
please accept my sincere apologies.

TL;DR: I need volunteers from around the country to support a twilight
meetup of teachers happening in various parts of the UK. It's not
difficult and likely to be a lot of fun and will only take a few hours
of your time in the early evening of a single day. I may be able to
cover travel expenses. Please get in touch. More detail below...

Computing at School (see: http://www.computingatschool.org.uk/), a grass
roots movement of computing teachers in the UK would like to run a
series of training courses for "Master Teachers" in MicroPython on the
BBC micro:bit during March. These teachers would go on to act as the
seed / catalyst for other teachers who require Python training during a
series of training events over the summer. Put simply, this is an
exercise in Python evangelism for teachers.

Master teachers are those who have demonstrated a combination of deep
subject knowledge and teaching skill. Put simply, they're the most
senior teachers you can get. They're also the leaders in the field and
what they say or do influences many hundreds of their colleagues.

The idea is for the master teachers to get together with Python
developers (that'd be *you*) for a few hours to work through MicroPython
related educational resources. These events would happen at university
based hubs around the country. As a Python developer you'll *get a BBC
micro:bit* and be expected to offer advice, answer questions and
demonstrate Python as needed. Honestly, it's not an onerous task and
will only last a few hours in a "twilight" session (i.e. after work).

The locations and proposed dates are as follows:

London: 25th February
Birmingham: 9th March
Nottingham: 15th March
Lancaster: 16th March
Newcastle: 17th March
Hertfordshire: 21st March
Manchester: 23rd March
Southampton: 23rd March

It's easy for UK Python to be very London-centric. This is an
opportunity for Pythonistas throughout the UK to step up and get involved.

Why should you volunteer a few hours of your time to help teachers? Need
you ask? Your help and influence will ultimately contribute to the
education of the next generation of programmers - your future
colleagues. It's a way to give back to the community by fostering the
next generation of Pythonistas with the help of the CAS Master Teachers.
It's also, from a moral point of view, simply a selfless and
unambiguously good thing to do.

If you're thinking "oh, they won't want me", then YOU ARE EXACTLY THE
PERSON WE NEED! Your experience, perspective and knowledge is invaluable
and teachers need to hear from you. Rest assured, this will not be a
difficult or high-pressure activity. In fact, it's likely to be a lot of
fun.

Remember that awesome person who mentored you and/or gave you a step up?
Now's your chance to be that person for a group of master teachers.

If this is of interest to you, please get in touch ASAP and I can start
to coordinate things with CAS.

I'm going to put in a grant request to the PSF to see if we can cover
travel costs for developers. But there's no guarantee this will come about.

Best wishes,

N.

[python-uk] A MicroPython kickstarter

2016-01-28 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Folks,

Damien is at it again... :-)

He's created a version of MicroPython that runs on the ubiquitous
ESP8266 WiFi chip (so Pythonic IoT a doddle).

If you want to support Python as a first class IoT language then please
consider backing this:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/214379695/micropython-on-the-esp8266-beautifully-easy-iot

From the blurb:

"We want to make MicroPython run like clockwork on the bare metal of the
ESP8266 Wi-Fi chip. MicroPython gives you the benefits of a well-known
high-level programming language - simple and powerful code, and rapid
development - all in the constraints of a microcontroller. Using
MicroPython on the ESP8266 will allow you to create beautiful Internet
of Things devices with ease, much quicker than with C or similar
compiled languages, and using Python is a lot of fun!"

[python-uk] Call for London based volunteers - Wednesday 9th December

2015-12-03 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

tl;dr - This is important. Help teachers. Get a micro:bit. 4pm-ish
Wednesday 9th December at the BCS in London.

This is an opportunity for you to positively affect and contribute to
how Python is taught in London's schools. Where London leads the rest of
the UK often follows (in terms of teaching).

Computing at School (CAS) are to IT teachers as the PSF are to
Pythonistas. I've been working with them as part of the micro:bit
project in order to get teachers up to speed with MicroPython etc.

Next Wednesday (9th December) about half a dozen of London's CAS master
teachers (basically, the most experienced teachers, leaders, movers and
shakers) will be at the BCS off the Strand (from 4pm onwards) with a
view to exploring and creating resources for MicroPython on the
micro:bit. We need an equivalent number of Python developers to attend
to partner up, help out, answer questions and have fun with micro:bits.
We want the outcome to be lesson plans, code and a positive vibe.

I realise people may only be able to get post-work (5pm). I can hold the
fort from 4pm giving a quick run-down of MicroPython.

I think I should be able to wangle it so that those developers who
attend will be able to get their hands on (and keep for an extended
period of time) a micro:bit for testing / development purposes. So, if
you'd like to play with a micro:bit, this is how you get one. They're
very cool and people have lots of fun with them:
https://github.com/bbcmicrobit/micropython/tree/neopixel

Of course, this is an important collaboration. If there was ever a time
to "be arsed" about something - this is it in terms of the amount of
potential change and positive impact for Python vs. actual effort you
have to put in.

I'm always happy to answer questions, hear constructive critique and
have ideas suggested.

Best wishes,

Nicholas.

[python-uk] MicroPython / BBC micro:bit at Python user groups in the UK

2015-09-25 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

So the BBC have realised that MicroPython is really a thing that works.
They've said they would be up for loaning us micro:bit devices for
community events over the Autumn (heavy emphasis on the word *loan* here).

:-)

If you're interested in having your evening user group become a "hey
let's play with MicroPython on the micro:bit" type affair please let me
know via this list.

I suspect I'll have to attend in person to chaperone the devices but
that also means you get me to do a talk on MicroPython and the device
itself. I may also be able to arrange some funky peripheral devices (a
micro:bit robot car for example) to be included.

My aim is two-fold:

* Testing / feedback on MicroPython on the micro:bit
* Idea / resource generation kickstart

I'm based near Northampton so Oxford, Brum and Cambridge are easy to get
to. My folks live in north Nottinghamshire so "oop north" is within
striking distance if I combine that with a trip back home. Scotland is a
totally different matter but I do have relatives in south Wales I could
combine into a weekend trip to Cardiff if anyone is interested.

These would need to be evening events since I actually do a "real job"
during the day. :-)

Also, I'd need to know potential dates ASAP.

Any takers..?

[python-uk] PyCon UK - Next year's committee... Could it be you..?

2015-08-25 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Pythoneers!

PyCon UK 2015 is almost upon us and we're already thinking about next year.

The most fundamental aspect of this is who will be responsible. To this
end, every year at the PyCon UK AGM we vote in a new conference committee.

The constitution states that, "The Committee shall be composed of a
minimum of four persons and a maximum of ten persons." The following
roles must be filled:

* Chair - responsible for the smooth running of the PyCon UK society and
the fulfilment of its aim: to run a Python conference in the UK.

* Vice-Chair - deputises for the Chair: assumes the Chair's role if they
become unavailable.

* Treasurer - keeps track of financial matters and is responsible for
making an annual financial report to the AGM.

* Secretary - keeps track of the meetings, ensures minutes are made and
people are generally aware of the machinations of the society.

Other members of the organising committee have no specific roles or
responsibilities but will be called upon to help, advise and act
depending upon their expertise.

If you would like to be part of this wonderful endeavour please feel
free to put forward your name and, if appropriate, an indication of the
role you'd be interested in fulfilling (Chair, Vice-Chair etc...).

To do this email: pyconuk-...@python.org.

As John Pinner stated, "PyCon UK is organised by the community, of the
community and for the community".

Someone has to do it, why not you?

Best wishes,

Nicholas.
(On behalf of the PyCon UK Organising Committee.)

2015-08-04 Thread Nicholas H.Tollervey
Hi Folks,

Just a quick heads up!

We have a provisional conference schedule. You can see it here:

http://www.pyconuk.org/schedule/

The usual caveats about it being almost complete and things may change
if speakers drop out etc... apply.

But, in essence, what you see at that URL is the shape and structure of
the conference.

We're still looking for poster sessions (you should totally do one, it's
fun and completely stress free) and "lunchtime events". Find out more
details here:

Spread the word, go buy tickets, tell your friends, forward the link.

See you in September.
