Welcome Prachi.
Now, AOO 4.0 is about to release. Sidebar is an important feature in this
release. You could get familiar with this feature from
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/Sidebar+Test+Plan

 Hi All,

I am Prachi, and would like to volunteer for QA testing of Open Office. I
have bachelor's degree in accounting and recently completed training on
Manual testing. I have also read level 1 2 orientation modules and
submitted a request for AOO Bugzilla account.

Hello I'm checking this bug: 117985
 https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=117985
But the O.S. is in windows NT, and the user wrote this:

When converting a loop in edfld.cxx, the assignment of the loop variable
 got lost.
My question is: How can I reproduce this bug?
 Regards,

Good question.

I would add a comment asking the original reporter, How can I
reproduce the defect? What steps do I need to do?

The report is written from the perspective of the code, the internals
of the product. It does not describe the external impact of the
defect. That's what makes it hard.

Note: It is certainly possible for this defect to have no external
impact for us to test. If this is true, then we will ask a programmer
to verify the fix in the source code.

You can resolve it in some way. Probably Resolved - Irreproducible, since
OpenOffice 3.3 was working on Windows 7 and this bug report is isolated.

Yes. I usually give the user at least two weeks to respond.
Sometimes a month. This is where the needmoreinfo keyword is
useful. At the start of each month I run a query looking for all
 issues where;

 1) I am the QA Contact

 2) Issue is UNCONFIRMED status

 3) needmoreinfo keyword is set

 4) Issue has not been updated in more than 4 weeks

I then close those issues as IRREPRODUCIBLE.

It makes me instantly feel productive ;-)

  Hello again
I was checking this bug but I can't reproduce it. Someone can check it?
Because I tried but I don't have anything
  https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=119181
  Thanks

I looked at the attached document from the user and could not
reproduce the bug. I used AOO 3.4.1 on Windows 7 64-bit.
