Guide to port Apache OpnOffice 4.1 to AppImageKit

2014-07-28 Thread Alexandro Colorado
I just got message back about one developer writing a small guide to
bundle Apache OpenOffice into the AppImageKit. AppImageKit is a
framework to make portable apps for Linux.

This will help users be able to run Apache OpenOffice on an
encapsulated fashion.
 https://github.com/probonopd/AppImageKit/wiki/Bundling-OpenOffice

I also want to encourage people to test it, and post the OpenOffice
build on the porting page. A task can be found on issuezilla.

5 Click Add button, select a path, named path1, OK

The path1 is added to the list If there is bau file under the

The path dialog doesnt allow any naming, only categories. If anyone

assigned you 10 test cases on Redhat Linux 32bit, you can run them on your
OpenMandriva 32-bits rpm based OS. Please visit the AOO 4.1 FVT test
plan in Testlink and look for your name.

Please use the released AOO 4.1.0 as the testing build.

Re: Set up

2014-05-06 Thread Alexandro Colorado
Well the first step is to have the target OS running on the VM, the
second would be to install the version for each platform.

On the testlink platform you should be able to select which test cases
are for the target OS and repeat the process for each of the
platforms.

Your feedback would be important and saved for further analysis.

Here is the wikipage showing how to do the testcases:

The space still useful and available to insert the updated processes

I have a problem in test.

 In bug
 https://issues.apache.org/ooo/**show_bug.cgi?id=101143https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=101143there
is a test case. In this test case the circle has 8 glue points.

If I create a new circle there are only 4 glue points.

Both the connectors on the example (red and black) has the same behaviour,
no central control point. The control point appears if one circle is moved.

Is this present on the current DEV version as well?

[QA CALLFORREVIEW] Peruvian Locale for decimal separator

2013-02-26 Thread Alexandro Colorado
According to a friend from Peru, the Locale for es_PE.xml was inverted on
the way they separate decimal and thousands. I attach the patch on the
issue 121825, a patch has been added with the fix. Please I need a backup
on the claim and a commiter to apply the patch.

Regards.

It ends with the new volunteer subscribed to the list and with a BZ
account. At that point they can see what activities we're doing and
join in. Since QA does different things at different times in the
release cycle, it is hard to have this relatively static page tell
then what to do specifically. We might be testing a Release Candidate
when they start, or (like now) be relatively early in the cycle and
confirming older defect reports, or we could be writing new test
 cases, etc.

IMO a sandbox tutorial should be added to allow user to understand the
 cycle of an issue.

Under Bug handling we do have a link to this page:
 http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Issue_lifecycle

Is there something better we should link to? (Or write new?)

again I think a sandbox would be more proactive than passive reading
and gives the new volunteeer to experience our system.

i like what was done with testlink, for example. and usually
screenshots of the system help understand where is the options cally
located on the screen.

 Hi,
I will try to add balloon for current Video.
If you have any idea about the video content please ping me, hope we can add
more and more Video to make the beginner easy to learn and use TestLink.

I would recomend trying to use screenr.com which allows to do
screencasting from the brower on a vry easy manner exporting it to
youtube.

This is a very streamline way to do develop small videos like this and
combined with youtube video editor it can be useful enough.

 Thanks,
 Terry
