Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS to manage cadastre

Hi
I am french and work with the cadastre and Qgis .. The plugin is really a good
plugin but you must know the data are in two categories : all the data with
geometry are accessibles by all but you don't access to the data of owners and
all others taxes informations ... Only locals gvt can access ( or the studies
organisations working for ..) to these informations ..
And such studies need a good practice of the relations and request 1-n ...

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS to manage cadastre

2017-01-05 Per discussione Neumann, Andreas
Hi,

I think import of Cadastre data is not trivial, but several solutions in
several countries already exist. Next to the below menti9oned
QGISCadastrePlugin in France, there is the norGIS ALKIS import in
Germany (see http://www.norbit.de/74/ or the PostNAS project). In
Switzerland there are official data models and Open Source
importer/exporter available either with ili2db
(https://github.com/claeis/ili2db) or through OGR.

The original question, however, was about also editing/managing
cadastral data, which is more complex, and as I said, requires a
long-term investment and collaboration of several partners. It would,
however, certainly doable on top of QGIS and PostGIS.

Thanks Jorge, that helps confirm my suspicion. Are you running on linux?
Based on this ticket (https://hub.qgis.org/issues/11473
), it sounds like the supported protocols
may be dependent on the version of Qt that QGIS is using. Do you happen to know
which version you’re using?

Hi John,

I've captured QGIS packets to/from the WMS service, after clicking
"Connect" on QGIS (to get the capabilities document).

The print screen is available at [1].

Wireshark reports the protocol as TLSv1.2.

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS to manage cadastre

2017-01-05 Per discussione Andreas Neumann

Hi,

QGIS is a GIS platform just like ArcGIS is.

In order to manage cadastral data you need a data model, a spatial
database with relations, functions and triggers - and forms that can
handle 1:1, 1:n and n:m relations. QGIS in conjunction with Postgis,
offers all of that. On top of that you probably need some application
logic that can handle survey data, calculations and net adjustments.

ArcGIS can't handle cadastral data without a proper data model and
application logic. So you would have to buy ArcGIS, and on top of that
you have to buy an application that can handle cadastral and survey
data. It doesn't come out of the box without the need for customization
and improvements.

QGIS doesn't offer such a complete solution, but it would be possible to
build one. There are similar projects for handling water and waste-water
utility documentation (see projects qWat and QGEP). It is a lot of work
and takes time. These projects are typically under constant development.

If you are ready to invest time or finances and ideally team up with
other organizations, then yes, QGIS could be used to handle cadastral
data. In fact, a swiss company is starting to work on a solution for
managing cadastral data in colombia, on top of QGIS and Postgis - but it
is at the very beginning. If you want to join that effort, I can put you
in touch.

[Qgis-user] Relation Selections

2017-01-05 Per discussione James Bambury
Hello,

I may be missing something obvious here but is there a quick way of doing
the following:

With multiple features selected from a parent layer of a relation, push
that selection to all related features in a child layer.

There's a button on the attribute table that does this in arcmap and I
wasn't sure if there's something similar in Qgis.

Many Thanks,

Thanks. I used wireshark to trace the session and it appears that QGIS is
attempting to make the connection with TLSv1 which I think is at least part of
the problem.

Can either of you tell me what protocol and cipher suites you’re using? what

[Qgis-user] QGIS Actions

2017-01-05 Per discussione Richard McDonnell

Hi all,
I am trying to create a style for a Vector Index WFS (dxf's).
The Idea is that it can be used within QGIS to both load the vector data
directly into QGIS and also to open it in AutoCAD, if required.
I have a working action which loads the dxf into QGIS, but I am running
into issues relating to file paths and windows when I try to have it
open the file in AutoCAD

My working script is:

qgis.utils.iface.addVectorLayer("[% "root" %]*itm/*[% "subfolder" %][%
"filename" %]", "[% "sheet_no" %]","ogr")

Where:

'root' = /remotepc/sharename/current
/
*itm/* = /relavent CRS folder///

"subfolder" = /remaining sub-folders
/
"filename" = /File Name eg 1000.dxf
/
"sheet_no" = /File Name less file extension/
So the resultant script is:

qgis.utils.iface.addVectorLayer("/remotepc///sharename/current//*itm/*///subfolder//
/subfolder// /1000.dxf/", "1000", "ogr")

This works perfectly!!

Now if I use the same attributes in the standard Open Actions, It fails
(nothing happens), if I use the standard Windows or Generic Action, I
get an error stating it cant find the file.

The drive is mapped to my PC, and if I replace the
/remotepc///sharename/ /with /z://\sharename\ /it will work.

Due to the fact that not everyone will have this drive mapped, and even
those that do, don't necessarily have it mapped to Z you can understand
why I cant use this.

I have a clunky Python work around and it is as follows:

import os

os.system(' "[% "root" %]itm/[% "subfolder" %][% "filename" %]" ')

This works, but as I said its clunky opening a cmd window and not
closing it. It does not work as well as /z://\sharename\/
It is driving me mad, If someone can help point me in the correct
direction, I would appreciate it greatly.

Regards,

Richard.

[QGIS-it-user] [Qgis 2.18 - Grass 7.05] - cartella grass non impostata

2017-01-05 Per discussione Federico Lazzaroni
Saluti

Buongiorno a tutti,

R

Hi,

I used the 'Check validity' tool to repair the shapefile.
Now everything shows up normal.

Thanks,
