Hi Paolo,

Each of those profile tools uses a different library for plotting.

I think for migration to QGIS 3, it is best to use Qt Charts module which
has been GPLed since Qt 5.7:

IMO, profile tool should be a core QGIS function.

[Qgis-user] Print Composer Templates in v2_99

[Grant Boxer]

I am trying to apply/use a template in print composer from v.2.18.16 but
v2_99 does not seem to able to display it. Do we need to re-create our
templates for the new version?

  I noticed a feature of this that I haven't seem mentioned, but I
think it can be of use.   It seems that the displacement of the
dimensioning line is dependent on the order of the point picks,
although the label seems to have its own way. In the attached image I
picked the upper line clicking on the left point and then finishing on
right point.The lower line I have picked first the right point and
finished with the left point.

  I think that if the label were attached in someway to the
dimensioning line, this could be an useful feature.

Very nice use of QGIS's extensive styling, If I may add my two cents, 
see attached style tweak, which uses the move Label tool to fine tune 
positioning of your Dimensions.
To work, it requires you to create your Dimension Layer with two 
attributes *dim_x* and *dim_y*, create the line as before, but use the 
move text tool to locate the text where you want. The dimension Line 
will followthough depending on what direction you draw the dimension 
line.

forse ci sono soluzioni migliori ma io avrei trovato questa (ho provato su
QGIS 2.99 ma credo che possa funzionare anche sulla 2.18):

Nelle opzioni di posizionamento delle etichette c'è la sezione "Definiti in
funzione dei dati" dove è possibile specificare campi con coordinate x e y a
cui fissare le etichette; si può anche specificare un campo per la
rotazione.

I campi contenenti tali parametri possono essere creati con il "Calcolatore
di campi" con le seguenti espressioni:
campo x:   *x( line_interpolate_point(  $geometry, ($length /2)) )*
campo y:   *y( line_interpolate_point(  $geometry, ($length /2)) )*
campo angolo:   *line_interpolate_angle(  $geometry, ($length /2)) + 90
*

To fix the "globeplugin.dll missing" you can install gdal200dll pkg (see Bug
report #17917 https://issues.qgis.org/issues/17917).

Small progress! 

 

After I once again tried to delete every occurrence of GRASS and QGIS on my
hard drive, including appdata\local\[ crashdump | temp ]  etc. I reinstalled
QGIS from OSGeo4W. 

 

Now the grass plugin seems to work and he is only missing
C:/OSGeo4W64/apps/qgis/plugins/globeplugin.dll. What is strange to me, is
that he still knows about my recent opened projects. 

 

Where did QGIS store this information, I deleted everything?

After deleting all my temp files, some qgis remains in my user folder and
reinstalling everything from OSGeo4W I'm still getting the same error
messages. 

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QGIS 2.18 is not in my registry.

 

I also tried installing 2.14 but even there I've getting the error. 

Has anyone an idea?

In that case you could try to rename .qgis2 in your home directory and check
for suspicious registry settings in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QGIS 2.18

That is at least what I would try.

thanks for the hint, but in fact it is 7.2.2 installed. 

 

I also get the error when I use the standalone installer. Since I had an
older QGIS Version running on that same machine 2.18.something, I am
guessing that there are some hidden settings files in my User folder or
registry entries which interfere with the new installation.

GRASS GIS 7.4 just got released:

https://grass.osgeo.org/news/71/15/GRASS-GIS-7-4-0-released/ and I assume
this is the GRASS version you installed in OSGeo4W.

 

There are maybe to solutions to the problem:

1.   the QGIS-GRASS-plugin needs to be compiled against the current
stable version, I guess (this would have to be done by the package
maintainer)
2.  you can downgrade your GRASS installation in OSGeo4W to GASS 7.2.2

 

Just guessing.

This means that all the mentioned DLLs were not found, despite the fact,
that they are at the exact location were the path is pointing to. 

I've found an older Issue in the Issue tracker concerning the same problem:

The mentioned solution (Installing gdal201) doesn't solve the problem.

Hello,

 

I could use some help with leaflet/java coding.

 

I would like to change the appearance of the popup fields which are
generated by the qgis2web plugin using the Leaflet option. The pop-up field
shows selected attributes and their value of polygons on mouse-over.

For example, changing the background color, adding a different border or
aligning the field value to 'centered'. I am able to change the alignment,
but this also aligns the field name itself (at least in "Header label")

 

Tom Chadwin is looking into the possibility of adding CSS classes to the
popup, but maybe there are some easy solutions for manually editing the
output files of qgis2web?

 

However, my knowledge of Leaflet and java is little to none. What and where
should I edit in the output files of the webmap published by the qgis2web
plugin?

Ti rispondo riguardo il punto 2.

Si è possibile basta utilizzare il posizionamento manuale dell'etichetta.
La sposti e la ruoti come ti va meglio e li resta. Nel tuo caso puoi
applicare di default le coordinate del punto mediano della linea.

Se sai usare un po' qgis visto che sono su linee puoi far calcolare in
automatico la posizione (x e y del punto mediano e la rotazione la ottieni
dalla curva calcolando l'azimuth fra punto iniziale e finale della linea.

I also tried installing 2.14 but even there I've getting the error. 

Has anyone an idea?

In that case you could try to rename .qgis2 in your home directory and check
for suspicious registry settings in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QGIS 2.18

That is at least what I would try.

I also get the error when I use the standalone installer. Since I had an
older QGIS Version running on that same machine 2.18.something, I am
guessing that there are some hidden settings files in my User folder or
registry entries which interfere with the new installation.

this is the GRASS version you installed in OSGeo4W.

 

There are maybe to solutions to the problem:

1.   the QGIS-GRASS-plugin needs to be compiled against the current
stable version, I guess (this would have to be done by the package
maintainer)
2.  you can downgrade your GRASS installation in OSGeo4W to GASS 7.2.2

 

Just guessing.

The mentioned solution (Installing gdal201) doesn't solve the problem. 

 

My System is Windows 10 Home 64bit the used QGIS version is OSGeo4W with
quick installation mode. I'am using the QGIS with Grass Gis Support bat file
to start QGIS.

 

I would be grateful for any help,

Well, I think the main pressure are the windows standalones and OSGeo4W and
those are at download.osgeo.org (sic!)

download.qgis.org you mean?
Or do you mean to put the version.txt on the osgeo machien?

I'm ok with some alt names in the certificate, it is all updated in one
go anyway.

I think in general (big) download sites is a good thing to use the
service of cloudflare? It keeps the pressure from our own servers?

nella lista Qgis-user in questi giorni c'è stato uno scambio di e-mail
interessante circa la quotatura di oggetti cartografici [0]. 
Vi segnalo la soluzione di Paolo Cavallini [1] perché credo possa
interessare qualcuno che non legge quella lista.

Inoltre approfitto per fare una domanda circa le etichette di elementi
lineari. E' possibile impedire che l'etichetta si sposti in base
all'"inquadratura" della mappa, mantenendo ad esempio la posizione
fissa al centro della linea?

Qui [2] una immagine di esempio; l'etichetta in alto a dx si è spostata
per rimanere nell'inquadratura...
