[Qgis-user] where is the gdaltools plugin for QGis 2.0 on ubuntu 13.10?
Dear all, I successfully installed Qgis 2.0 on ubuntu 13.10 by adding the qgis repository. However, I cannot find the gdaltools plugin in the list of plugins. How is it possible to install this plugin? Thank you very much, Best regards, Frédéric Parrenin ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

Yes, you are right, I was missing the right python-qgis package. The former ubuntu-provided package was installed but had not been updated. [Qgis-user] color legend of a raster
Dear all, Is there a way to plot the color scale of a raster inside the main Qgis window? I found it was possible to add a legend in the composer, but this is somewhat inconvenient to work with the composer since you cannot zoom or move the map in the composer, it is really for the final stage of printing. Thanks and best regards, Frédéric ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
Re: [Qgis-user] color legend of a raster
Answering to myself... Actually the color scale is displayed in the left panel of the main window if you unfold a layer. What is strange is that if you use a linear interpolation of colors, the scale is still plotted in a discrete way. Maybe a request for enhancement? [Qgis-user] QGIS 2.0.1 visualise Openstreetmap and vector data
Dear group, I just try the new QGIS version and I have problems visualising map service data such as openstreetmap and vector data. I can only see the vector data when the mapping service data is turned off. The settings (layer CRS, Project CRS, mapping on the fly) are correct as far as I can see. What is the problem? It worked so well in QGIS 1.8 Thank you Klaus attachment: kmithof.vcf___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

Do the weekly builds not include a functional JP2 reader? The same rasters work just fine in the stable release 2.0.1. In Windows you can go to QGIS Dufour directory, set the environment by running osgeo4w.bat and then you can list the JP2 drivers as C:\Program Files\QGIS Dufourgdal_translate --formats |find JP2 JP2ECW (rov): ERDAS JPEG2000 (SDK 5.0) JP2OpenJPEG (rwv): JPEG-2000 driver based on OpenJPEG library JP2ECW is fast and JP2OpenJPEG is sometimes almost usable. JP2KAK is very good but that you can't get without Kakadu license. JP2MrSID used to be fast also but I do not know what is the status with the license. If there are several drivers for JPEG2000 GDAL is using the first on the list. You can skip a driver by setting GDAL_SKIP environment. Thus, if I would like to have a try with JP2OpenJPEG I should run SET GDAL_SKIP=JP2ECW first. No idea really how and where I should do it so that QGIS starts with that setting. -Jukka Rahkonen- ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
[Qgis-user] Wrong color of a color ramp in a csv layer.
Hi everyone! I'm quite new using qgis (Dufour), so I'll try to make useful questions... I'va created a layer from a csv file. After that, I've applied a graduate style. My version of qgis is in spanish, so I think that's not the right translation. It must be something like ramp color or gradient... but I'm not sure. Anyway... I choose a field of my csv file and define some ranges of values. Each range is representated by a color in the map. I found it clear and easy till here. But, having a closer look to my results I found some points that aren't painted with the right color. Some points that must be painted with the first rage colour, are painted with the colour of the las one. I'm still looking for any big error in my configuration, but It seems so simple that I don't know where to look. I guess it must be not so simple as I think... -- Thanks! ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
