Re: [Qgis-user] Clip tool no longer supports selections in 2.16?

2016-10-03 Thread Frank Sokolic

Hi Erik,

This is similar to a problem with the Intersect tool which was reported
recently: http://hub.qgis.org/issues/15584

I remember experiencing the same problem with the clip tool in 2.16 but
this has since been fixed in QGIS Master.

2016-10-03 Thread Victor Olaya
Tried in current master and it works fine, it honors the selection.
There were some improvements for clip, and a later commit with fixes.
Maybe that's the cause, but it seems to be fine now.

I will check on 2.16 to verify, anyway

2016-10-03 Thread Neumann, Andreas
Hi Radek,

In that case would you please create an issue at hub.qgis.org and add
your finding, e.g. rendering in QGIS 2.8 takes xx seconds, and xx
seconds in 2.16.

You'd also need to upload your data and projects (both in 2.8 version
and 2.16 version).

This will give developers the chance to investigate.

Processing uses "selected only" by default. If it doesn't behave that

You should be able to filter your data by county. Once the filter is in
place you could look at attribute data to see all the data.

Can you tell us what you are trying to accomplish so we can help with a

Dear all,

I installed QGis-Server 2.14 on Ubuntu 16.04 following the instructions on
[this
blog](http://www.paulshapley.com/2016/07/how-to-install-qgis-server-on-ubuntu.html?showComment=1475153231712#c4163641401127840252)
[0]. The fgci on its own is responsive and correctly replying to a
GetCapabilities request like:
http://localhost/cgi-bin/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities

However, if I point the browser to a QGis project file, like:

http://localhost/cgi-bin/project/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities

The response is an error:

There was an error reading the project file or the SLD
configuration

Using directly the command line I get a different error message:

$ ./qgis_mapserv.fcgi
"QUERY_STRING=SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetCapabilities"

The Apache logs are clean. The error log is empty and the access log is

Are there any other logs I can look into? Any hints on what may be causing this

[Qgis-user] scale dependent drawing of symbol with point displacement option

2016-10-03 Thread Reginald Carlier
Hi,

I'm looking for a way to stop drawing symbols for a feature when a certain
scale is passed, using the point displacement option.
I am trying to label addresses of buildings but when I zoom out those
concentric circles keep growing and give the map a weird view.
So I think it would be good if those circles had a maximum proportion or if
those adrespoints would stop showing up after a certain scale is passed.
In the style tab of the layer properties I can't see any option to do that.
I'm using QGIS 16.3.
