Re: [Qgis-user] True North

2018-04-04 Thread Springfield Harrison
hello Kristian,

Thanks again for your help, I was partially successful. The second grid,
the custom Mercator one that you described is not happy in the print
composer. It does not persist but seems to revert back to the UTM grid with
the word change on the CRS button.

Not sure what that is all about but my main requirement is to be able to
draw lines at specific angles with reference to true north. They will then
be re -projected correctly based on the display projection. Unfortunately,
the advanced digitizing tool does not work with Geographic projections, IE
un projected Maps.

If I can get lines that are guaranteed to be related to Geographic
bearings, I could let the projection quirks sort themselves out on their
own.

If you have any thoughts on this I would be most appreciative...

[Qgis-user] QGIS3: limit palette for XYZ, WMS/WMTS?

2018-04-04 Thread Tobias Wendorff
Hi there,

is it possible to limit the palette for imagery from XYZ, WMTS/WMS?
For example, I would like to show elements with rgb(255,0,0) only.

A work-around might be to use MapProxy and run some PIL magic on it...

Best regards,
Tobias

"Tile Scale" panel is missing labels, is this a bug?

Yeah, I used gdalinfo and some python code to do this in the past
(I also wanted sharp tiles).

Definitely, would be useful.

Hi Daniel,

One alternative way to do this, without field calculator, is to use the
"Processing Toolbox" (see menu processing) and use the "Count opints in polygon
(weighted)" algorithm. This should do what you want, but the downside to this
approach is that you end up with a new layer.

If you want to use the field calculator (without creating a new layer) you will
have to look at aggregates and spatial relationship functions. I am not 100%
sure if this would work - I currently don't have the time to test it - but
might be worth a try.

Good luck!

It sounds like the answer is to draw the lines in one projection and then
transform it to the other, depending upon which orientation is desired for
those lines.

If you are at a larger scale, then you may need to use different magnetic

Re: [Qgis-user] automatic recognition intersection

2018-04-04 Thread Stefan Giese (WhereGroup)

Hi Marcel,
may be this thread helps:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12965090/get-list-of-all-intersections-in-a-city.
The second answer with the overpass api will do the intersect for you.
you can export it and load it into QGIS. But anyway, I thinks with a
little bit of work, you can do it in QGIS too...

Re: [Qgis-user] Help in Field Calculator

2018-04-04 Thread Andreas Neumann
Hi Daniel,

One alternative way to do this, without field calculator, is to use the
"Processing Toolbox" (see menu processing) and use the "Count opints in
polygon (weighted)" algorithm. This should do what you want, but the
downside to this approach is that you end up with a new layer.

If you want to use the field calculator (without creating a new layer)
you will have to look at aggregates and spatial relationship functions.
I am not 100% sure if this would work - I currently don't have the time
to test it - but might be worth a try.

Good luck!

[Qgis-user] Help in Field Calculator

2018-04-04 Thread Daniel Alejandro Montecinos Rubilar
Hi. I have a question urgent. What I try to do is then updated columns in a
data layer with another layer. For example , I have two layers A = Poligono , B
= Points . The layer B contains real values. Then would do two things. 1. Count
how many points of the layers B are within the layer A. 2. From the points of
the layer B that are within the polygon layer A, I need the sum of their values
and paste this sum in a column of created layer A. I tried to make the
crossing with the "field calculator" function, using the functions:
"geomwithim", "geomintersects" and "intersecting_geom_sum", but without results.

I hope I have been able to explain.

Re: [Qgis-user] True North

2018-04-04 Thread Andreas Neumann
Hi Daniel,

Just do not reply to this e-mail thread, but send a plain new e-mail to
"qgis@u...@lists.osgeo.org" describing your problem with enough detail
that others can follow.

Note also that this is an english language e-mail list - there may be
some spanish speaking subscribers on the list, but you are more likely
to get replies if you write in english. Or - alternatively - if you want
to write in spanish - you may use a localized e-mail list in a different
language. See https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Local_Chapters or
https://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/usergroups.html as a starter.

Going back to your "Update column" question - please have a look a the
"Field Calculator" - see the corresponding section in the QGIS manual:
https://docs.qgis.org/2.18/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_vector/field_calculator.html

Greetings,

Andreas
