[Qgis-user] Editing raster classification

2021-01-25 Thread Chan Dolan
Hi y'all,

I'm using the semi-automatic classification plugin to classify raster data.
Although, I need to resample a bit to make landcover more accurate. Is
there anyway to edit an existing training input without creating an entire
new one, or creating unnecessary duplicates of an existing class?

Thanks!

Re: [Qgis-user] differences measuring area with field calculator and plugin geometry calculator

2021-01-25 Thread Nicolas Cadieux

Hi,

One uses the ellipsoidal area based on the CRS and one does not (or uses
a different formulas for the ellipsoidal area).  Go to the field
calculator and generate temporary fields.   In the field calculator use
the following formulat

$area  : (Ellipsoidal area)

area($geometry) : (non ellipsoidal area based on the geometry. Results
may be weird if your file is in Long-Lat but they should correspond to
your numbers.)

I would use  $area

Nicolas

Re: [Qgis-user] Shapefile Rename

2021-01-25 Thread Ujaval Gandhi
A 'shapefile' is a collection of at least different files with extension
.shp, .shx, .dbf and .prj. So if you rename one of them it doesn't work.
You must rename all the sidecar files. Better yet, open original shapefile
in QGIS, right-click, Export , Save Features As and save it with the new
name.
