[Qgis-user] unable to stylize vector layer with recent QGIS versions on OSX 10.8.5

2015-12-08 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hello

On OSX 10.8.5 it isn't possible to stylise vector layers with recent QGIS
versions (2.10 and 2.12.1) anymore. For example it isn't possible to change the
frame color of a point symbol. When I click on simple marker, it appears just a
text: This Layer has no changeable characteristics. It last worked correct with
QGIS 2.8.4.

The bug was reported under http://hub.qgis.org/issues/13338, but i can't update
the bug report, because i lost my password.

Probably this issue exists just on OSX 10.8.5. I tested the newer QGIS versions
on two independent OSX machines, and both have this issue. Any ideas?

Thank you

[Qgis-user] Fwd: problems with the style of simple markers in pointlayers in QGIS 2.10 (Pisa)

2015-09-09 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hello,

I tried now also with QGIS 2.8.3 and the behaviour is like in QGIS 2.6, which
is good. I guess 2.10.1 has a bug regarding the style of simple markers in
pointlayers.

Thank you
Marcel

[Qgis-user] problems with the style of simple markers in pointlayers in QGIS 2.10 (Pisa)

2015-09-08 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hello,

After an upgrade from QGIS 2.6 to 2.10 the styles of simple markers in
pointlayers can't be changed anymore. So I can't change anymore for example the
frame color of a point symbol. It appears just a text: "Dieser Layer hat keine
änderbaren Eigenschaften" (in english something like: This Layer has no
changeable characteristics). In QGIS 2.6 the same project works well.

Is this intended or a bug?

I use the distribution from KyngChaos on OSX 10.8.5

Thank you
Marcel

Hi,

I found a solution. I had to install manually the newest branch from
https://github.com/geopython/CadTools. Now it works.

[Qgis-user] How to calculate the transformation parameters for the QGIS Affine Plugin

2014-10-07 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi,

I would like to make an affine transformation with a vector layer shape file,
using the Affine Plugin. I know from two points the correct coordinates:
local_y local_x LV95_y LV95_x
9.0650567.70714 2753308.44 1166381.26
9.065056-5.085236 2753295.68 1166391.31

How can I calculate the transformation parameters?

again QGIS opens the Project without errors. Mac OSX 10.8.5

Hi Paulo,

I observed a similar problem. I can't load more then 32 layers in a project
without problems. However I haven't updated to the latest QGIS version. Maybe
it's a Mac Problem. I use Mac OSX 10.8.4

Re: [Qgis-user] where to install qgis-web-client on Mac OSX 10.8.4

2013-07-11 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
yeah, with the following url it works and the Alaska map is shown in the
browser:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetMap&BBOX=-0,0,100,800&CRS=EPSG:2964&WIDTH=2000&HEIGHT=1194&LAYERS=alaska&STYLES=&FORMAT=image/png&DPI=72&MAP_RESOLUTION=72&FORMAT_OPTIONS=dpi:72

Now I try to install and configure the qgis-web-client.

In the folder /Library/WebServer/Documents/ I did:
sudo git clone https://github.com/qgis/qgis-web-client.git

Then I adjusted the paths in the 3 files (index.html, GlobalOptions.js,
GISProjectListing.js). I replaced /home/web/ with /Library/WebServer/Documents/
and (for this I was not sure) /cgi-bin/ with /qgis-mapserv/

Then i tried to load the two examples in qgis-web-client/site/index.html. But
the maps are not loading.

I'm not sure what I have to do with the commands in the QGIS Web Client
Installation Guide on page 3 (chapter 1 for the terminally lazy). Do I need to
do the following commands?
  cp apache-conf/qgis-web-client.conf.tmpl apache-conf/qgis-web-client.conf
  cd /etc/apache2/sites-available/
  ln -s .
  sudo a2enmod rewrite
  sudo a2ensite qgis-web-client.conf
  sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 reload

Hi Bernhard, Andreas,

Now in QGIS it works, but not in the browser (see below).

Following I describe what I did to test if the QGIS Server is running, so maybe
somebody else can learn from it. I know it's quite basic, but in the beginning
it may help. I think in my case, it was a path problem.
1. Copy the alaska.shp (+ prj, dbf, shx) to /Library/WebServer/Documents/ (This
is the Web root with Admin rights)
2. In QGIS save a project according the QGIS User Manual 1.8 Chapter QGIS
Server in /Library/WebServer/Documents/
3. Make sure when reopen the QGIS project from /Library/WebServer/Documents/ it
finds still all the layers. (One of my mistakes was, that I moved the project
file afterwards into this folder and QGIS couldn't find anymore the alaska.shp
file. I thought the layer paths are absolute, but they are not.)
4. Open a new project and set the crs (i.e. EPSG:2964). Then add a wms-layer.
5. Connect to localhost with the following url:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs
6. 3 layers appear, add the first one.
7. Verify the data are shown.

The url:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetMap
 gives this error massage:
Output format '' is not supported in the GetMap request

What could cause this message?

I made sure that CRS is everywhere EPSG:2964, but it was not the problem.

2013-07-10 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi Andreas,

yes, with the map parameter I could go a step further, the alaska layer
appeared. But while trying to import it, the following internal server error
was shown:

Kartenabfrage-Fehler [Fehler:Error downloading
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs&&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetMap&BBOX=-15256791.5967269185930490,482471.5356363095343113,15452694.4898276831954718,30602207.0081926248967648&CRS=EPSG:2964&WIDTH=1084&HEIGHT=1063&LAYERS=alaska&STYLES=&FORMAT=image/jpeg&DPI=72&MAP_RESOLUTION=72&FORMAT_OPTIONS=dpi:72
 - server replied: Internal Server Error; URL:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs&&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.3.0&REQUEST=GetMap&BBOX=-15256791.5967269185930490,482471.5356363095343113,15452694.4898276831954718,30602207.0081926248967648&CRS=EPSG:2964&WIDTH=1084&HEIGHT=1063&LAYERS=alaska&STYLES=&FORMAT=image/jpeg&DPI=72&MAP_RESOLUTION=72&FORMAT_OPTIONS=dpi:72]

The layer was somehow imported, i.e. i can open the preferences, but no data
are shown.

Any idea?

Thank you
Marcel

I tried, but no success. After I delete the
/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs file, still 1 layer was showing up
while adding a WMS-Layer. It means the behaviour of the WMS-Connection is the
same with or without the project file alaska.qgs. So, it's probably not a CRS
issue. It seems that the QGIS Server doesn't see the alaska project file at
all.

I connect to the localhost with the url
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi? -> Is this correct?

In the QGIS user manual (Chapter QGIS Server) it says that a copy of
qgis_mapserv.fcgi is needed for Linux. But how is it for an OSX? I found this
file in /Applications/QGIS.app/Contents/MacOS/fcgi-bin/ and put also a copy of
it in /Library/WebServer/Documents/. But somehow I don't understand how it
works… I afraid my QGIS Server configuration is not correct. But at this point
I'm lost.

Is there somewhere a documentation for OSX that explains which file has to be
in which folder?

Re: [Qgis-user] where to install qgis-web-client on Mac OSX 10.8.4

2013-07-10 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hello Andreas,

I try to do the Alaska example described in the QGIS Documentation, chapter
QGIS Server
(http://docs.qgis.org/1.8/html/de/docs/user_manual/working_with_ogc/ogc_server_support.html).

The problem is, that this example is for Linux. On OSX some things seem to be a
bit different, especially the paths. I saved the project file with the new
project settings in /Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs.

In order to test if my QGIS server is running ok, I did two tests:
1. In Safari I put the following url:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?map=/Library/WebServer/Documents/alaska.qgs&SERVICE=WMS&REQUEST=GetCapabilities

the browser answers with the following message:
WMS  Test test text/xml image/jpeg image/png image/png; mode=16bit image/png;
mode=8bit image/png; mode=1bit text/plain text/html text/xml image/jpeg
image/png text/xml svg png pdf text/xml
alaska -179.843 178.454 48.0545 72.2621

I thought this means the server is running. No map is shown because I still
haven't installed the QGIS client. So far so good.

2. In QGIS I wanted to add a WMS-Layer. I connected to the localhost with the
following url:
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi?

It shows up 1 layer with ID 0 and name wfslayer, but nothing more. When I
select this layer, it is not possible to import it. It says: Kein gemeinsames
KBS für gewählte Layer. So, I don't know if my QGIS Server is running ok.

Sorry, I don't get it.

I can connect form QGIS Desktop as a WMS-Client to QGIS Server, but the Layers
don't appear.

Does somebody know a step by step instruction how to configure a simple example
on OSX?

Thanks and regards,

[Qgis-user] How to publish a simple QGIS project in the web with a Mac OSX?

one described here:
http://docs.qgis.org/1.8/html/de/docs/user_manual/working_with_ogc/ogc_server_support.html

What is the easiest way to do this?

Which software components do I have to install?

regards,
Marcel

Re: [Qgis-user] where to install qgis-web-client on Mac OSX 10.8.4

2013-07-09 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi Bernhard,

Thank you for answering. On my Mac the Apache server works. The QGIS Server is
installed according the Tutorial
http://hub.qgis.org/projects/quantum-gis/wiki/QGIS_Server_Tutorial. It also
seems to work. When I open the link
http://localhost/qgis-mapserv/qgis_mapserv.fcgi? I get the following message
from Safari: Please check the value of the REQUEST parameter.

Now I try to configure and publish a simple QGIS project. But I don't know
where to put the files. I also don't understand how the QGIS Server finds the
path to the Web Client, because at the moment I have the qgis-web-client folder
in /Users/Marcello/Downloads.

[Qgis-user] where to install qgis-web-client on Mac OSX 10.8.4

2013-07-09 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi all,

I try to install the qgis-web-client on a Mac OSX 10.8.4. But I don't
understand where exactly I have to put it? I think the
"/home/web/qgis-web-client" path is not for OSX?

regards,
Marcel

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS installation problem with Mac OSX 10.8.4 and some Qt4 Modules

2013-07-08 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
I found the problem. The old QGIS needs to be deleted before 'sudo make
install' then it works. Now also the Python Console in QGIS works. Somehow not
everything was overwritten in a new installation. I think this is worth
mentioning in the QGIS INSTALL instruction.

Thank you very much for your support.

I removed PYTHONPATH in my .bash_profile and recompiled everything from SIP on.
But still the same error occurs in QGIS.

Yes, deleting the content of build helped, now it looks good (see below) and in
the meantime I could install successfully QGIS. But when I start QGIS the
following error appears: PyQGIS konnte nicht geladen werden. Die
Python-Unterstützung wird abgeschaltet. Means: PyQGIS could not be loaded.
Python support is switched off.

I installed cmake from scratch, but it is also installed in homebrew. The
/usr/local/Cellar path is the homebrew path. I will now remove this components
from homebrew.

I used cmake version 2.8.11.1 until yesterday, now i installed the version
2.8.11.2 but still the same error for SPATIALITE_LIBRARY appear. GDAL
frameworks are now found without explicitly set a cmake variable.

sure if I can leave it (see below the brew list). Then I installed the required
components according the install instruction, Qt 4.8.5, your frameworks (gdal
complete) and postgres+postgis extension, spatialindex 1.8.1and sip 4.14.7. I
got stacked installing PyQt 4.10.2. This program looks for sip 4.14.6 which is
the old (previous) installation (see below). My interpretation is that the sip
4.14.7 installation was not good, although there was no error message. Any idea?

Thank you
Marcel

Thank you for answering. In the meantime i got a step forward. I can
successfully cmake qgis (see below), but when i do "make -j 8" it gives quite a
lot of errors. The errors look i. e. like this:

Yes, the Master branch I compiled last time in January 2013. I remember it was
as well difficult, but it worked finally. Now I try to update QGIS and also i
try to install the QGIS Server.

Yes, PyQt did not work with sip 4.14.7 so I installed sip 4.14.6 with homebrew.
After reinstalling Qt 4.8.4, sip 4.14.6, PyQt4 4.10.1, QScintilla2 2.7.2 (all
with homebrew) and Qwt 6.0.2 (conventional) i can do at least the cmake.

Since not everything work well, i started to install the required components
with homebrew. But i tried to respect the order of installing.

[Qgis-user] QGIS installation problem with Mac OSX 10.8.4 and some Qt4 Modules

2013-07-05 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi all,

Cmake the Master QGIS branch gives me the following error messages. It seems to
be a problem with Qt4. I already reinstalled it, but it doesn't help. And there
are no hints in the google net, so I'm lost. Can anybody help? Thank you.

[Qgis-user] Unable to load PROJ.4 library (libproj.dylib)

2013-02-01 Thread Marcel Stadelmann
Hi,

When I use gdalwarp, I got the following error:

ERROR 6: Unable to load PROJ.4 library (libproj.dylib), creation of
OGRCoordinateTransformation failed.

After including the following line in .bash_profile, gdalwarp works in the
Terminal, but still fails in QGIS when I use the Clipper:
export PROJSO=/Library/Frameworks/PROJ.framework/PROJ

I use a Mac OS X 10.8.2 and installed KyngChaos GDAL 1.9 Complete Package and I
use QGIS 1.9.0 alpha

Is there a way to fix that manually or do I have to configure-make-make install
again?
Thanks,
Marcel
