Re: [Qgis-user] RECLASSIFICATION ON A RASTER LAYER

2015-09-22 Thread Szabo Szilard
Dear Mariana,
A possible solution can be the usage of *r.reclass* through the Processing
module of QGIS
See this manual for details and check the examples:
https://grass.osgeo.org/grass64/manuals/r.reclass.html

Kind regards,
Szilard

Re: [Qgis-user] solar potential

2015-03-04 Thread Szabo Szilard
Dear All,
Thank You for your comments and suggestions. I tried several options and
softwares (ArcGIS, SAGA, GRASS) and as a validation, have a correct
calculation based on equations being used for solar panels. So far, it
seems that ArcGIS provided the best correlation, SAGA did somethibg strange
(strong but negative correlation) and GRASS provided data having no
correlation ... Of course, it is not a thorough and comprehensive review I
will continue - it is just a report for You after my question. None of the
softwares approximated the values calculated with the eqations just can be
approached with linear regression.

Both SAGA and GRASS calculated lesser solar income for southern roof panels
than eastern and western, and also, northern roof panels had high values,
too ... I am quite sure that I am missing something but for now, data seems
unreliable for me. Actually, I used the GRASS through QGIS, so it can be a
next step to try the native software itself.

Thank You for all you, if i figure out the solution I share it with you, if
someone is interested in.

[Qgis-user] solar potential

2015-03-03 Thread Szabo Szilard
Hi!
Does anyone has some experience with the r.sun GRASS option (Processing
toolbar). I am strugling with the results because they are not reasonable.
Data can be calculated for a day and in January the solar income is greater
than in July ...
I have tried with a national CRS (EPSG 23700) and with WGS84 (4326) but all
output seems a bit strange (too small and the issue of January-July).

Do you have idea what am I doing wrong?
DSM: 20 cm resolution

Re: [Qgis-user] Asking for NDVI_Landsat 8

2014-06-20 Thread Szabo Szilard
Dear Mariana,

If You have the tif files, you do not have to merge the bands, you just
only need these files. Otherwise, maybe (if the images do not have 8 bit
format, but you will see when DDVI values will have non-regular values,
i.e. outside the -1-+1 range) you have to apply an atmospheric correction
(I had to ...) with the TOA plugin in QGIS. In this case you need the *.met
file for the correction, too.

Kind regards,
Szilard

[Qgis-user] diagrams and labels in the same map

2014-04-19 Thread Szabo Szilard
Hi All,

I would like to create a map with diagrams and, in the same time,
labels displayed
on it. I have tried several ways but when I put the labels on the map,
diagrams always move to another place. Is there a possibility to fix their
places? And, later when I add the labels to move them to a proper place?

A not too elegant solution was to save the map with the diagrams as a
raster with a world file and than use it as a background, next step I added
the labels and move them where they looked fine. But is there a "normal"
way?

I am using QGIS 2.2 32 bit on Win7

Re: [Qgis-user] joinning tables

2014-01-29 Thread Szabo Szilard
Dear Zoltan,

To tell the truth I do not know what is happening.
I am not able to read this file normally. CSV's first does not become a
field-header (I checked with my previous csv-s and they work); I created a
new CSV using MS Office 2010 but the results was the same.
XLSX also was wrong, values became NULL in the table (but had the right
header ...).

I will continue in the afternoon ...

Best wishes,

Szilard

It seems that I have no settings dialog - or just simply am I seeking it at
a wrong place?
Thanks,
Szilard

Re: [Qgis-user] qgis2threejs plugin demo

2014-01-08 Thread Szabo Szilard
Hi Michael,

Thank You for the demo and the video, I did not know this plugin yet.

Is there a possibility to set the vertical exaggregation? I usually work on
plain areas and the default settings not seem to be enough to visualize the
slight differences of the elevation. Did you meet this kind of issue?

Thanks in advance,
Szilard
