Re: [Qgis-user] Meta Search on Mac

2020-12-28 Thread Tom Kralidis
Hi: reverting that change will introduce the axis order problems that
the original fix
attempted to solve:

- urn:ogc:def:crs:EPSG::4326 is a CRS whose coordinates must be
represented with a yx axisorder
- urn:ogc:def:crs:OGC:1.3:CRS84 is a CRS whose coordinates must be
represented with an xy axisorder

Having said this, can someone open an issue on GitHub? I have a fix
queued which I will then apply as a PR for testing.

Thanks

..Tom

I can't speak for others, but in my experience QGIS is quite suitable
on Mac as well as Windows/Linux.

The MetaSearch error you are seeing is actually coming from the CSW
service that is being queried. If you are able to provide the CSW
server
in question, this would help us investigate further.

Re: [Qgis-user] MetaSearch error on launch with clean install

What version of QGIS? Usually QGIS comes out of the box
with MetaSearch as a core plugin, so you don't have to install
it explicitly.

Mmm, unfortunately not :-(

Because of the (old) Redmine version some redmine2github exporters we
found on Github just did not work (at least not for the
QGIS-application). We also hit the 'api-throtteling-limit' pretty soon...

This is unfortunate.

We are preparing a dedicated server, now to run a recent version of
Redmine. But we choose to only run the issuetracker, so no
wiki-pages/project pages anymore. The Redmine is a vanilla as possible
to minimize work on updates/wikispam etc etc.

So can/should we use the wiki at https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/wiki instead?

BUT: as MetaSearch is a core plugin 'your' plugin's will be in the
QGIS-application ones?

Yes, correct. MetaSearch is a category within QGIS-application.

Richard
