Sorry, you have to do it from the beginning as the area of The Census

The 4th step is something like:

area_of_intersection
number_of_unemployed *
area_of__The_Sensus_sub-place

Afterwards: Vector / Data Management Tool / Join attributes by location.

Remember to check Take summary of intersecting features.

Just an idea:

1. Using the Field calculator add a new column with polygon areas for the

2. Create the third layer as an intersection between the Sensus sub-place layer

3. Using the Field calculator add a new column with polygon areas. Now you have

[Qgis-user] Meaning of Georeferncer transformation types

2012-03-11 Thread Zirneklitis

Hi,

Please correct if I'm wrong.

The formulae for the Affine transformation can be expressed as follows:

Xc = r5 + Xp * r1 + Yp * r3
Yc = r6 + Xp * r2 + Yp * r4

(Xc, Yc - new coordinates;
Xp, Yp - pixel location;
r1 .. r6 - coefficients.)

In Quantum GIS Georeferencer the meaning of different transformations
are as follows:

Linear - special case of Affine transformation where r3 = 0 and r2 = 0.

Helmert - special case of Affine transformation where r3 == r2.

Polynominal 1 == Affine transformation.

[Qgis-user] Pyramids and Virtual maps

2012-03-10 Thread Zirneklitis

Hi,

I have many raster maps (size 2000x2000 pixels). I have created a
virtual dataset including all of them.

The first question: what pyramids should be built?

1. Large scale pyramids (e.g. 2 and 8) for each raster map separately
and small scale pyramids (e.g. 16 and 32) for the Virtual data set.

OR

2. Full set of pyramids for the Virtual data set.

The second question: Is it reasonable to make only every second pyramid
(e.g. 4, 16, 64)? - performance/disk waste issue.
