[Qgis-user] Custom SVG path in Debian/Qgis 2.18.x server
Good morning everybody In the past I used to symbolize my vector layers with svg symbols in QGIS on windows and Qgis server on debian. All I had to do was to create a folder in my windows PC "myfolder" and to create a folder with the same name on debian under /usr/share/qgis/svg/ (i.e /usr/share/qgis/svg/myfolder) Svg files used on windows were correctly used in qgis server too Now my qgis projects aren't symbolized correctly anymore and I get a question mark instead of the svg used (symbol not found I guess...) I am on debian last stable and qgis server 2.18.12. Is there some way to solve this problem? Hi Andre my problem is that GDAL is used by QGis and both these programs are installed trough Osgeo4W setup. So, how can I make qgis installed that way use GDAL installed as standalone? Doesn't it collide with the one given by Osgeo4W, that is installed too? [Qgis-user] Help in using Grass plugin to interpolate point data
Hello list I'm looking for some help for interpolation of point data values with qgis. I use to interpolate data with spline techniques, so I'm trying to use the grass plugin (v.surf.bspline). After the creation of a grass mapset the grass tools are available, I found the module v.surf.bspline but if I click on this module I face a mask asking for a vector in input. On my qgis project there are 2 point layers, one coming from a shp file and another from a spatialite db. Both of them aren't available on the dropdown list of the module mask. I'm a beginner with this tools so be patient, where is the mistake? May be the grass plugin (v.surf.*) need a grass vector layer in input? Right? So, I must convert a shp to grass vector and then perform interpolation, no other more direct way to do this? Hy Nick, Thanks! I solved the problem using 4 dll distributed by ERDAS with SDK 4.1 READ ONLY NCScnet4.dll NCSEcw4_RO.dll NCSUtil4.dll tbb.dll If I don't use NCSEcw4_RO.dll I get errors by gdalinfo --formats. The problem is that by the ERDAS website they redirect you to an SDK 4.1 (they say read only) that is missing this dll. So you have to find it in some other place.. [Qgis-user] Help on connecting Bluetooth GPS
Dear Qgis users I'm in trouble with the GPS BT connection to qgis - Windows7. Bluetooth GPS is on COM6, It works, tested with arcpad. When I go to qgis 1.7.2 and try to activate the GPS on com6 (GPS Live Track) the button remains pressed but nothing happens, no message. On QGis 1.9.9, on the lower left side of the status bar, I receive an error message saying that there is an error failed to connect to GPS device. After that, if I try to click on the refresh button on the leftside of the port number selector, the com6 disappear. I think this means that there was a sort of connection on that port, and the GPS remains appended. May be there was some other discussion about it, but I didn't find it, can you please help me in this problem? [Qgis-user] Re: ecw problems
Dear all I face the same problem, ECW data not supported... I tried both on a WinXP workstation and on a Netbook with W/ onboard. Installed Qgis 1.7.2 trough osgeo4w-setup, with gdal-ecw 1.8.0.1. My qgis.bat says: @echo off SET OSGEO4W_ROOT=d:\OSGeo4W call %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\bin\o4w_env.bat call %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.2RC2\etc\env.bat @echo off SET GDAL_DRIVER_PATH=%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\bin\gdalplugins\1.8 path %PATH%;%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\qgis\bin;%OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\grass\grass-6.4.2RC2\lib start Quantum GIS /B %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\apps\qgis\bin\qgis.exe %* So the gdal environment path seems ok, right? I followed this link to set Qgis and ECW http://planet.qgis.org/planet/tag/ecw/ I installed ECWJP2SDKSetup_20100920.exe (that is SDK 4.1 Read only) from ERDAS and tried to copy the 8 *.dll (found in ERDAS\ERDAS ECW JPEG2000 SDK\bin\vc90\win32) both in System32, or in D:\OSGeo4W\bin, or in d:\OSGeo4W\bin\gdalplugins\1.8. Nothing to do, ECW isn't supported.. Yesterday, on the netbook, in a first installation I downloaded ECWJP2SDKSetup_RO_20110303.exe, that is 4.2 version of the SDK-RO. At first I tried to open ECW and QGis started working but in a wait state. I stopped it and tried to open a smaller ecw and it displayed it, but after a while it crashed. So I realized that it was needed the 4.1 version of ECW-SDK and I used it. By that point nothing to do, no compatibility.. In what am I wrong? Ok, a bit better.. Just reinstalled the 4.2 version of ERDAS SDK, copied 4dlls from redistributable to osgeo4w/bin Now from the shell gdalinfo --formats I can see the ECW extension. Qgis now can load ecw (they are between its extension list), but if I try to open one of them Qgis crashes.. What could be the problem? [Qgis-user] Re: ecw problems
If I download the 4.1 version by ERDAS website (called ECWJP2SDKSetup_20100920.exe) and I install this SDK, then under both redistributable and \bin\vc90 there isn't NCSEcw4_RO.dll. Without this dll I get two errors by gdalinfo --formats (that cannot find it). This dll is under the 4.2 version of the SDK. May be that there is a problem with the ERDAS Website, because the 4.2 sdk installer specifies that is read Only (ECWJP2SDKSetup_RO_20110303.exe). Please someone of you who has the right and tested 4.1 dll's, could you send them to me?
