Hi Fred,

This probably means that you opted somewhere in QGIS to save your database in
the Authentication manager (secured with a password)[1].
Maybe accidently, but QGIS created a master password (sqlite) database for
that.

Either try to remember the password you used, OR go into your QGIS profile
directory [0] and move the qgis-auth.db file (which is the actual sqlite db) to
another place. If not there search for it in your QGIS install dir?

Else try to move our QGIS profiles folder (unless you use a lot of profiles and
have a lot of configuration in them) [0]

Hope this helps

Re: [Qgis-user] Error message

2023-07-29 Thread Hugh Kelley via QGIS-User
Hi, the two things I would try are 1, Saving the file as a .qgs file
instead of .qgz and 2, saving to a simple filepath like desktop or
downloads if you are not doing so already.

It might also be worth trying to save the file to a geopackage instead of
as a stand alone file.

Re: [Qgis-user] error message when clipping raster

2020-10-30 Thread Charles Dixon-Paver
You should be able to get more information on the error by using the log
messages as indicated by the error message. To open the log messages use
View >> Panels >> Log Messages.

The output there should help in determining the cause of the issue. Also,
you mention you don't have this issue, but are you using the same operating
system etc?

The raster extraction tool is a GDAL operation (afaik), so you should be
able to use the command generated from the command line as well.

[Qgis-user] error message when clipping raster

2020-10-30 Thread Azzurra Lentini
Dear all, I am giving a class of Qgis (MSc in earth science) and one of my
students had this problem when she tried to clip a raster file.
I don't have this problem with the same file and using the same command and
Qgis version.
She must clip a raster .tif file.
We are using Qgis 3.10.3 version and from the menu bar we are using
RASTER>EXTRACTION>CLIP RASTER BY EXTENT

The message that Qgis gave is:

The following layers were not correctly
generated.C:/Users/pc/Documents/Es1VetereG/Elaboration/Bacino_Idrog/Layout_BacIdroChio_Raster_Clip.tifYou
can check the 'Log Messages Panel' in QGIS main window to find more
information about the execution of the algorithm.

Thank you for any suggestion!

Hi,
This line

* File "C:/Users/Celso/AppData/**Roaming/QGIS/QGIS3\profiles\*
*default/python/plugins\**qgiscloud\**qgiscloudplugindialog.py", line 808,
in __wkbTypeString*

points that the issue comes from qgiscloud plugin. So first, either
uninstall it or run qgis without plugins to confirm the origin. And report
the issue on the plugin repository in case the authors are not following
this list so they get it fixed.

Re: [Qgis-user] error message when opening a project

2019-05-05 Thread Nicolas Cadieux
Hi,

I have no idea what this error is but my first reaction would be to uninstall
QGIS and reinstall QGIS. If that does not help, please add what version of
QGIS you have, what installer you used and what operating system you are on. I
would add what version the projects are done with. You could also disable all
plugins that could be at the root of the problem. That would help others figure
things out.

Good luck,
Nicolas

[Qgis-user] Error Message When Packaging Application for Win7

2019-03-05 Thread Carter, Cat
Good afternoon all

My apologies but I am unsure which mailing list is the appropriate one to use.

Our support team are trying to package QGIS 3.4.4 'Madeira' for Win7 and Win10
for deployment, however they are facing an issue with the Win7 extraction.

Extraction issues faced on win7:
1.extract:error writing to file gdal203.dll
2. extract:error writing to file vcredist-2013-x64.exe

[cid:image003.png@01D4CE75.4D1E3DB0]

Would anyone be able to provide any advice on what might be causing this error?

Many thanks

At the extreme right of the bottom of Qgis window there shoul be a
symbol like a cartoon talk bubble. Click there and it will open a
window, or a panel, with all messages o the program. Select Python
Warning tab. If you cannot solve, send the messages there to the list.

2.18.X doesn't bring new features, only bug fixes, so it's better to update
your QGIS 2.18. It won't break your projects. Your bug has been fixed a few
months ago. It was not related to your script.

All,

many thanks. This has been a cross posting because i thought i have used the wrong mailing list. Sorry for confusing

Before updating (i fear updates soo much because i have yet lost projects etc ) i have an additional screen.

This is from extended settings which shows what happend after changing it by standard menu for "processing toolbox -> ..."

My own script has been set to the flaf TRUE.

Would it be possible to set this flag back to FALSE by this dialog and than it shall work again?

Thx

Pat

[Qgis-user] Error message : Scipy in my qgis python path

2013-07-18 Thread image
Hello,

When i open qgis 1.8 on my windows station, i have a error message sayin :
Please install scipy (http://scipy.org) in your Qgis python path.

I re-installed the software but i have always this message.

Moreover, when i try to install such extensions (like stats for instance),
this message appears again and the qgis project crashs...

Could you explain to me how to install scypy in my qgis python path please?

Thank you very much.

Regards.

Hi,
when using the advanced installation option with osgeo4w-setup.exe, it is
no problem to add this.
When you reach the package selection, unfold the Libs branch an search
for python-scipy: Scientific Library for Python and change the state
from Skip to Install and then proceed.

As i only use the advanced installation method, i have no experience about
what to do when using the standalone or normal desktop install method.

Hope this helps

Bernd

Hi

the invalid python path suggest there is some clash with the
libraries/modules. Please make sure to completely clean up your qgis
installation and try again. This could be a result of some old c++
plugins in the (prefix)/lib/qgis directory or something similar - have
you done any updates of Qt4, PyQt4 or sip recently?

there is probably another copy of this .dll in the Windows system

[Qgis-user] error message when I launch Qgis

2010-05-21 Thread Arnaud Colé
Hello, I just installed QGIS from the osgeo4w.
No problem during installation, creating shortened ok.
But when I launch Qgis the following error message The ordinal 94
is not found in the dynamic link library libpq.dll. I
performed an installation easy and expert but nothing more.
I again read the installation notes and I finally installed
plus Microsoft C Runtime Libraries but this does not solve the problem.
A search in google and under Georezo does not allow me to find a
solution.
Does someone could tell me what to install / configure.

Looks like something similar to http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/ticket/63 - just
with a different DLL.

Do you have a libpq.dll in your system32 directory (or maybe somewhere else),
which might take precendence over the libpq in %OSGEO4W_ROOT%\bin?

I again read the installation notes and I finally installed plus Microsoft C
Runtime Libraries but this does not solve the problem.

Not needed for OSGeo4W. The msvcrt package does that already.

[Qgis-user] error message - retry

2010-05-08 Thread Michiel van Hasselt
Dear all,

Very new to this forum. However, I have had Q-GIS v 1.4 (stand alone)
running on my laptop for about 4 weeks, upgraded from 1.3 without any
problems. OS = Windows XP

Today, out of the blue I received the following error message (not sure if
the attachment will come through).
this application has failed to start because the application configuration
is incorrect

any ideas how I can solve this problem? Have tried to re-install, have un
installed and installed again, and even when installing the older version
1.3 I get the same message.

Thanks,

Mick

Gary,

Cheers, that has worked, interesting though because I installed this
initially to get v1.3 working. Re-installing the libraries worked.

[Qgis-user] error message

2009-01-02 Thread Chris h

Was wondering if someone can decifer the following error message please:

Warning: QgsCoordinateReferenceSystem::getRecord failed :  select * from
tbl_srs where parameters='+proj=longlat +a=6371200 +b=6371200 +no_defs'

Critical: QgsCoordinateReferenceSystem::createFromWkt -- theWkt is

How this comes about is as follows:
1. download an NOAA grib file
2. gdal-info shows the file is not corrupt and properly configured
2. gdal_translate creates a sample.tif and sample.aux.xml file holding the
meta data
3. loading the sample.tif as a raster into qgis produces the above generated
error.

Is there any way I can correct for this?

gdal = 1.6.0beta2, released 2008/11/12
gqis = 1.0 Kore
os = ubuntu 8.04

Best regards and thanks
