Re: [Qgis-user] Qgis 1.8 - Sextante plugin doesn't install - corrupt
Hello again I have the same plugin installation error also before a fresh complete new installation of Qgis. This happens only on my pc, because some other pc in my company don't have this issue. I completely deleted the osgeo4w installation dir and made a new installation. I saw that qgis still has old presets after installation so it could be that there is some messed information in my somewhere in my machine. Do you know how to completely remove all dirs and settings from my pc that deal with qgis? Hi Pietro, I think the issue is with your user dir, not with the installation. In case you don't know where to look, its: C:\DocumentsSteiings\username\.qgis on Windows XP C:\users\username\.qgis on Windows 7 Just delete or rename the directory *before* installation. Re: [Qgis-user] Qgis 1.8 - Sextante plugin doesn't install - corrupt
Hi I just get qgis in working order without any preset.. I had to delete the .qgis folder under my user documents and settings folder. This deletes all the plugin installed. After that I found a quantumgis registry folder under HKEY_USERS\your_usersid\Software\QuantumGIS (your_usersid is an aplhanumerical string identifying your user during login in windows) In this folder you can find many keys that store all the presets for qgis (last visited folders, proxy setting plugin repos ecc ecc) If you delete the whole quantumgis folder you have qgis acting as just installed ;-) (so if you like some plugin repo sign it somewhere - damned me..) -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Qgis-1-8-Sextante-plugin-doesn-t-install-corrupt-tp4997598p4998568.html Sent from the Quantum GIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
