Yo :) QL-Today with DVD was waiting in my letterbox in Vienna :) Thanks all people who worked on this project. Arrived here and well in the US (Detroit area) today the 19th. DVD is very well done, lots of good info for someone like me trying to return to the QL... Did you make the key layout on the disk physically, or simply use individual images? I say that because the shadowing and highlights are perfect, so it looks like you made it from at least three QLs (the letter D). I got the keys from Urs as JPG, so I assume he made them from real keys :-) It is a brilliantly professional job and well done. Thanks. It did, however, cost much more time than I initially thought (and considering, that I again went over 32 pages plus printable DVD plus expensive protective envelope plus sending it from Germany ... I guess the next issue of QL Today will need to consist of 4 or 6 pages to make up for this)... Nooo, JUST KIDDING!! We want your articles, feedback, suggestions, comments to get another great Xmas issue with a good mix out in time for you!!! Pity it can't run on a base QL (8-)# Indeed. Hi Norman, As someone who has to burn a pile of DVDs for a living (at work that is!) I know exactly what a PITA it is to do, so a huge thank you to Jochen - who I assume did the burning - it is an extremely thankless task. Yes, all done with the same burner to ensure everybody gets the same DVD. Took some days (only 4x speed). Equally huge thanks are due to everyone who scanned, collated and edited the DVD contents - thanks everyone. From me too, again. I for one, appreciate the hard work and effort involved. We sometimes forget (I think) that QL Today is not created by a huge conglomerate with the latest in printing and DVD duplication equipment and that most, if not all, is done by hand. System Software Designer 1982-1984, author of Qdos), Simon N Goodwin (remember his many articles in the 80s computer magazines and software like the ZIP-compiler for the ZX Spectrum) are just a few hot-spots to name here.
