Re: [Ql-Users] Library Guide
The Quanta Library was included in the Welcome Book with occasional revisions issued loose. I lost mine years ago. John Taylor I remember that one, and like you I've either thrown out or mislaid mine. However, John Gilpin has a copy he's kinly offered me. The particular one I meant was issued by one of the early librarians (Rob Sherratt or Alan Bartram?) in the mid 1980s before the disk-based libguides became de-facto. I'll need to refer back to the early volumes of the Quanta newsletter to find who, how, why, what, when -- Dilwyn Jones ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
Re: [Ql-Users] Library Guide
There was a comprehensive Library Guide inside the old style QUANTA Welcome Pack which was in a black A5 loose leaf ring binder (with QUANTA lettered in silver on the outside). I have a spare one dated 1992 which I can send to Dilwyn tomorrow if he thinks that this is what he wants. This might be useful, yes please send it. I also have a copy of the current LibGuide disk LG01 taken from the library master disk earlier today which I could include. Yes please, I can then check the current libguide against the one on the CD to see if there's any changes done since 2006. The printed list was for historical reasons more than anything, rather than anything to do with the present library. Like John Taylor, I think I've thrown my original Quanta introductory folder away I'd still like to get hold of one of the original paper printouts from c. 1985/1986 issued by Rob Sherratt, Alan Bartram et al. if you happen to find one. -- Dilwyn Jones ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
Re: [Ql-Users] Library Guide
Hi Dilwyn, I have got a plain paper folded A5 titled Welcome booklet and Library Guide with Rev 9410 in the footer. If this one you are interested in, it is yours. Please send me a postal address in private e-mail. Alain Selon Dilwyn Jones [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Does anyone have an old printed Quanta Library Guide I could have or borrow? IIRC it was an A5 folded plain paper type (there wasn't that much in the library in those days). I used to have one, but threw it away years ago. I hope I'm not confusing this with the Chas Dillon Archive guide which was also folded A5 format, I think I still have that somewhere... -- Dilwyn Jones ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
