Re: [ql-users] Virus
I've been following this thread and feeling rather neglected not having had any mails from Nigeria or suspect sources even Snow White seems to have deserted me, but then today I get one from Nigeria, yippee I'm back in with the in crowd. I've had a couple from sierra leone (or however you spell it) The money laundering scam.
Re: [ql-users] Marcus Detwiller - bad emails
Is no-one else getting emails from Marcus Detwiller obviously destined for ql-user, but arriving in my inbox. I got a couple. Probably more... not checked yet. Sometimes this happens... it's bad... very bad... It can lead to a mail overload as each message sent to the list bounces back, which then gets propogated to the list which bounces back... etc. I've seen that happen before, on a different list. Does anyone know his email so we can stop this Only the list admin casn block the mails... (The list should have a filter mechanism to prevent this kinda thing)
Re: [ql-users] Transparent background
Anyone know of a way to print characters on the screen without the character's paper affecting the channel / background? For example I want to lbytes a pic and then PRINT on it without affecting the image for each character block but only for the character itself. In essence I want to know if there's such a thing as a transparent PAPER command :-) Or at least something similar... PRINT OVER 1?

Use OVER#channel,0 Yep but OVER has a very annoying property. Once you use AT and place your text at the same position as your previous PRINT statement. ;-) Doesn't Over have three possible settings? 0, 1, -1? Now where is my manual? :-) OVER -1 is exculsive OR. So printing on the background with that might render the text unreadable. If it's printed on a relatively blank area though, you could erase the text by printing it again and then print something else.
Re: [ql-users] MS does it again
Hi, I vote for blocking all emails to and from any MS related sites (including eg hotmail) to this (and ql-developers) list. Otherwise developers will no longer be able to use this as a forum. I seriously doubt that "license" would hold an ounce of legal weight. If they tried to steal something using that they'd be sued to high bankrupcy.
Re: [ql-users] Hi all
Im arriving to the QL world, can anyone point me in the right direction ??? Owdo there... :) There's loads of software on the net, but you really need a floppy drive to access most of it.
Re: [ql-users] Beth Gelert
