Nope it doesn't do this on QPC - as I say, if you configure QWord to
use the existing display resolution or SuperBASIC's windows are smaller than
640x480, you do not have a problem with switching to SuperBASIC.

RE: [ql-users] Changing DISP_SIZE under SMSQ/e

2003-12-09 Thread Duncan Neithercut

Hi,
I think Rich Mellor is describing a problem
with SMSQ/E that I have been aware of for some time ie since at least version
2.97.
If the SBASIC windows are larger than the
new display size set by another job SBASIC will hang or crash on the Qx0 and
QPC2 will lock when an attempt is made to return to
SBASIC.
The cursor off screen does not accept input.

Work arounds are to put SBASIC into a button
when the new job is run - set up a hot key to buttonise SBASIC, make this a
configurable item in the job and then get the job to put SBASIC into the button
frame while it is running.
Alternately the new job reads SBASIC's
window sizes as part of its set up, stores them resizes SBASIC windows to suit
itself then when it quits it resores the SBASIC windows after putting the
display size back to what it was before.
