I always thought you were German - oops ! (Must be the name !)

That's because he IS German, though he lives near Paris.

Mind you, I would not say all letters are in the same place on German
keyboards, I am quite sure they have QWERTZ keyboards.

I think you are correct Joachim, if my memory serves me well, which it
normally does not, the '/' is on an ALT GR shift as well - probably the 7
key I think. This makes doing anything in unix a pain as you need three
fingers to get at a single '/'.

I remember Paris, I went there once.
It was cold and the streets were paved with something not unlike dog poo !

But we won't go down that route :o)

Cheers,
Norman.

What, Wolfgang is a germanic sounding name? Whatever gave
you that idea?
I'm living near Paris, though, hence the Azerty...

Ok, if you are so clever then, get over here and use a QWERTY -
 that'll sort you out :o)

That's what my first QL had, I bought it in '84 in London.

That's right of course. Still, 24 out of 26 is not that bad ;)

Only Shift + 7. \ is on AltGR + ß. There is no key that uses
AltGR Shift.

I got two punctures once on the way back to Gare du Nord after a QL
show. Had to reinforce the outer tyre with sellotape, but still got to
the station in time!

Similar to the time I repaired Stuart H's outer with bits of his
rucksack when his bicycle tyre exploded like a gunshot en route from
Reggio Emilia to Parma after an Italian show. It was a quiet village,
and all the dogs started barking and people came out of their houses.
Just as well we were not in Sicily (8-)#

I love Paris though - even with the mess.

I use a Nokia Data PS2 keyboard on this PC for email ... it has a QWERTY
key layout, but the language is Spainish ( ? ) ... can anyone confirm ?

The TAB key is 'Bloq Mayus', SCROLL lock is 'Bloq Despl'.

It was only 1ukp at a Radio Rally some years back, it is an excellent
'sculptured' layout and feel to it. The actual 'legends' printed do not
matter ...
