AW: [ql-users] Visit to Switzerland

2005-02-06 Thread Koenig Urs
Hi

I would be around on Saturday or Sunday for a chat as well.
I could offer our company offices in Sursee as host.

Would really be nice to see you, Jon and hopefully others!

Betreff: [ql-users] Visit to Switzerland

Next week I will be in Swtzerland (Schaffhausen) to visit my grandmother who
will be 95 on Tuesday.

Is it possible to organize a mini QL meeting only for me? In fact I would like
to speak with Jon Dent, any day/time between Thursday 10 and Tuesday 15.

Any time for me. As shops close on 4 O'clock, it could even be 5 or 6

It would be great in Sursee. On Saturday if possible, as on Sunday I would
like to see the carnaval in Buesingen (yes, do not ask me why but they do it a
week after all the other ones, down there).
Geneva is too far away, excuses. But you could come to Sursee?

That's what I like about the QL scene.
One person goes to see his grandmother. Suddenly it becomes a QL
mini-workshop :-)

Anybody got relatives in North Wales (lonely being one of only 2 known
QLers in North Wales)?

Can't have a QLer being lonely, especially one of only two in North Wales.
Sarah & I will be taking a long weekend break at Graig Park Country Club
from Friday 25th Feb to Monday 28th Feb and will probably travel about the
area a bit. Want to meet up for a jar - or a brew somewhere?

Might have enough room in the suitcase for a formatted floppy disc but don't
intend to bring an aurora etc.

Regards,

John Gilpin.

For me it is perfect. I will be there. 3 hours is a lot of time as my

But if you bring a SMSQ/E system then I would be happy if it could

I never bite.

I do though remember cycling in Paris with Sturat, rushing for a train
after a QL show.

I got bitten by a dog on a lead. The owner was very cross (in French)
with me for apparently encouraging her dog to bite me by cycling. If we
weren't in such a rush, I would have got her to buy me a new pair of
trousers. They were new!

BTW, this was joking only! I got a few replies on this subject...I wasn't
serious!

After starting that subject, I was a bit afraid of Roy going off on this tack.

Anyone not knowing what Roy's on about - "The only gay in the village" is a fun
character in the Little Britain programs formerly on BBC3 and more recently on
BBC1. Dafydd is a gay rather overweight man who dresses in horrendous bright
very tight lycra cycle shorts type clothes in the village of Llanddewi Breffi
in the distant South West of Wales. Notice the slightly different spelling of
Breffi compared to the actual village of Llanddewi Brefi. Not that this stopped
visitors stealing all the place name signs around the place apparently - the
local council had a bit of a crisis, I guess Dafydd must have become something
of a cult figure.

If you mean Dilwyn is a cult figure on the QL scene, fine, but that's about the
only association I'd want with it ;-)

Geoff can bite back in subtle and not-so-subtle ways, I don't know how good
Tony is at biting back!

Drat. Tony knows to be on his guard now ;-)
