Re: RECOMPRA_PAJERO
Wilson you have a Virus, please get a decent virus scanner! Paul You have probably heard about the Sircam Worm Virus on the Radio/TV. It's a variant on previous Word/Attachment viruses (viriii for classic scholars?) however the subject field on the email is generated randomly from files on the hard disk of the machine that is infected. If you receive any emails from anybody that contain the following textand an attachment(s) only DO NOT OPEN THEM!---Hi! How are you?I send you this file in order to have your adviceSee you later. Thanks
I agree with dave
All the dumba$$ members who can't even run a virus scan should be booted off, i'm getting bored of my server telling me about the infected files!! Paul
Ok another problem
I'm starting again from 'life with qmail' (about 3rd time now) and whenever i put the line: SV:123456:respawn:env - PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin svscan /service /dev/null /dev/console 2/dev/console in the inittab, it comes up with the folling error on the screen over and over again Supervise: fatal: unable to start qmail-smtpd/run: file does not exist /var/qmail/rc: ./Mailbox: No such file or directory I then have to remove the line and kill -HUP 1 to stop the errors. There is a folder called /var/qmail/Mailbox so i dont know why its not finding it. Many thanks Paul
qmail won't accept incoming mail (i have no idea what i'm doing anymore :) )

We can't help you without a lot more information that you gave us. The best thing for you, probably, is to stop qmail, and reinstall/reconfigure according to Dave Sill's excellent Life with qmail. You can find a pointer to it at qmail.org, which you should visit just to see all the other useful tips and tricks. Life with qmail is more of a step-by-step guide to setting up qmail and verifying that you've done it right. It's also a more modern way to install qmail than the instructions included in the tarball (daemontools, etc). Life with qmail also includes a hint or two about what information the mailing list needs to see in a problem report.
