Converting Sendmail spool emails to Qmail Maildir emails

Hi,

I always used Qmail in all my jobs so, I don't know work with
sendmail. At the old week I went to visit a client that is using sendmail. I
saw sendmail running and, after some minutes looking at how sendmail work, I
concluded that sendmail virtual email when you need to you m4 is really
hilarious hehhehehe and very suxx, so I proposed to the client to use Qmail.
   But now, I have a question. Are there any way to convert Sendmail
spool emails to qmail Mailldir emails ??

qmail-pop3d and users groups

Hi,

I have a qmail server running in a FreeBSD 4.2 and using
qmail-pop3d. I would like to know if I could set up qmail-pop3d to work only
for users in some groups in /etc/group file. Is it possible to do this? How
?

 Maybe we ought to ask John Levine (being a qmail guy himself) if he
 can add blinking text when it fails on the user%foo.com@[] test,
 where the test always stops with vanilla qmail:

After read the Qmail Spam Howto I discovered that the spam that I
was receiving was just because I didn't disable my .qmail-default alias. I
think some qmail spam problems is due this file.

I saw that message but, I was worried ... The default installation of qmail
block spam ?? I set up rblsmtp but, I don't know how to use it right ..
 I'd like to block some emails using rblsmtp. I created tcp.smtp and put
some rules there but, I don't know how to put a specific rule to rblstmp ...

Does anyone know any rblsmtp tutorial ??

Qmail and rblsmtpd

Hi,

When I set up Qmail without 'rblsmtpd' module and try to telnet
to port 25, it repospond fastly but, after install 'rblsmtpd' module it
suffered a big delay. I would like to know what can I do to qmail respond
more fastly when 'rblsmtpd' is working.

I put int my qmail.rc file the line :

/usr/local/bin/tcpserver -b 64 -c
64 -x/etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -g 82 -u 82 -t 600 0 smtp /usr/local/bin/rblsmtpd
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd 21 | /var/qmail/bin/splogger smtpd

rblsmtpd and firewall

I turned on my firewall and I looked at my logs when I found this message:

smtpd: 975401579.539737 tcpserver: fatal: unable to figure out
port number for /usr/local/bin/rblsmtpd

What's the port number and protocol(TCP or UDP) that rblsmtpd use ?

 Your startup script is messed up. Post it and someone will tell you how to
fix
 it.

Sqwebmail password problems

Hi,

I set up sqwebmail and it is working fine with Qmail but, I have a
problem. When I add an user to my system, he/she can use webmail using the
his/her password from the password file of the system. If an user change
this password, he/she need to change the password of the sqwebmail otherwise
he/she will need to use the old password to access the webmail.
Are there any way to keep the user webmail password up date from the
password file of the system ??

Relay and rblsmtpd

Hi,

I want to block some emails so, I installed rlblsmtpd. I need to put it in
qmail initialization script but, I don't know how to do it.
This line is in my qmail.sh start up script.

tcpserver -b 64 -c 64 -x/etc/tcp.smtp.cdb -g 82 -u 82 -t 600 0 smtp
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd 21 | /var/qmail/bin/splogger smtpd 

Another question: If I need to block an email from my system, I need only to
put the next line in /etc/tcp.smtp ?
deny:$RBLSMTPD="email@email"

 What is better , running qmail from xinetd or like a daemon ? It is valid
also to qmail-pop

 mail-smtpd is not "daemonizable". You have to use a tcpwrapper, whichever
 it may be.

Sorry but , what I meant was that I'm using 'tcpserver' to running qmail so
, Which is better , running qmail through tcpserver or in xinetd ?

Webmail for Qmail

I need a Webmail to use with qmail Maildir . I've tried sqwebmail but , I
didn't get it running right because I want a webmail that have support for
portuguese language . There are a sqwebmail portuguese version but , I can't
compile it bacause some errors appear .
