Hi, Thank you. I patched qmail, although I am still having troubles. I guess I am doing something wrong... I was running qmail-pop3d with something like: exec env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:/usr/local/bin" \ tcpserver -H -R 0 pop3 \ /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup smashweb.com \ /usr/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir So after applying the patch I had the log messages showing up on the terminal, so I tried running qmail-pop3d with daemontools, and created a service. run: #!/bin/sh exec env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:/usr/local/bin" \ tcpserver -H -R 0 pop3 \ /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup smashweb.com \ /usr/home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir log/run: #!/bin/sh exec setuidgid qmaill multilog t /var/log/qmail/pop3d The tcpserver and multilog processes started up right, the log dir was created, but nothing gets logged, and the POP service deconnects clients shortly after establishing the connection. Queue Problems
Hi Everyone, When I issue a /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qstat i get: messages in queue: 4 messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0 Straight after I issue a /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qread and get: nothing at all Also clients have been getting times out when trying to send mail... No Mail Log ?!
Hello everyone, I am using Qmail on Suse 6.3, using /var/spool/mail/USERDIR. For an unknown reason, the mail logs have been cleared and Qmail does not log anything anymore... I have looked in syslog and qmail does not report any errors either. Maybe permissions are wrong on the /var/log/mail file ?? what should they be? Does anybody have any suggestions? I can't start tcpserver... When I'm trying to start tcpserver with inetd.conf (on a RH 6.0), I get the following message in the log file : tcpserver/502 : [unknown services] But if I launch with the same command directly on bash (not in the inetd.conf, I mean), it works... What shall I do ?

I create, as told in the install manual, some aliases in the directory /var/qmail/alias I also create with maildirmake a Maildir in this directory... Tcpserver and smtp
It seems that everyhing is now ok on my server... Just a problem !! Tcpserver is running... It's ok for pop-3 but it seems that my smtp server doesn't work ? How can i figure out where the problem ? (host adress is www.easysoftnet.com )
