qmailadmin should work on Mandrake 9.2. I have netqmail-1.05,
qmailadmin-1.2.1 and vpopmail-5.5.0 running without any problem, did'nt come
across any library dependencies during installation also.

Make sure you've installed C/C++ and associated libraries. Basically, you
need to have gcc, automake, ldconfig, binutils/linker...and their
libraries/dependencies, you'll be prompted during installation itself.

You can also check for permissions/write permissions, were you root during
install? Can you execute gcc from the command line?

Lastly, google should be your best friend to solve this, it has solutions
most of the times.

There might be some other chances for your installation failure also.

Dear Sir,

Can I shorten User ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 become only myname ( no need @mydomain.com ) ?

For one domain only you can nominate a default domain. The method
depends on your version of vpopmail. Search for 'default domain' in the
vpopmail README and INSTALL files.

For more than one domain you can use ip alias domains, which requires a
separate IP address for each domain. Remember when you recompile
vpopmail you have to recompile all programs that use the vpopmail
library before they will use the updated code.

Either way you should be looking at vpopmail for the solution.

this issue is not related to qmailadmin and should therefore be posted to the
qmail mailing list. However, this is also a FAQ (probably #2 or #3 most
frequently asked question). Please google for 'qmail slow smtp' and read
what you find.
