That's currently a limitation of qmailadmin, you can set a domain quota
which is working perfectly, but you still can set the individual accounts
to NOQUOTA or something that's added more than the domain quota. Still, if
the domain quota is exceeded, no user of the domain will recieve any more
mails. I think qmailadmin shouldn't allow the domain admin to set user
quotas that add up to more than the domainquota, that would decrease the
 confusion a bit.

there is a quota file in de domain dir

 who can help me ?

Please don't hijack other threads, but start a new one (there are
still Reference-Headers in your posting from the previous one), that makes
the list more readable for everyone.

You didn't do anything wrong. It's just that domain limits are broken
in the current version of vpopmail.

I'm not sure when they actually worked, and when they stopped working,
but I know for sure that they haven't worked since 5.4.0.

[qmailadmin] location of dot-qmail files

2004-11-08 Thread john bender
Hello there,

I am having a bit of an issue with Qmailadmin creating
.qmail files in users' directories when forwards,
aliases or away are set.

Meaning that Qmailadmin edits
~vpopmail/domains/domain.com/user/.qmail

My main qmail installation apparently looks in
~vpopmail/domains/domain.com/ for .qmail-user files.

This is a problem since any changes users make to
vacation messages and forwards do not look like they
are working.

Is this a Qmailadmin issue? If so, where can I set
Qmailadmin to only edit
~vpopmail/domains/domain.com/.qmail-* files ?

Thanks for any info and pointers.

yes, and qmail itself does not look into the user directories where qmailadmin
is placing those files.

 Is this a Qmailadmin issue?

it's not an issue, but it is qmailadmin

vdelivermail (called from your .qmail-default file) reads those user .qmail
files when it's processing the delivery and handles them accordingly.

We have other systems setup on the machine (spam,
tmda, etc) and need .qmail-user files to be the only
ones consulted by default.

So I want to make qmailadmin write any changes to
.qmail-user. How would I go about doing that?
