For i386

RE: [qmailtoaster] Spamassassin

Not that this is a problem for me, but I'm just curious - How come I
don't have spamassassin as a service by default? I just re-installed and
there is no such service?

[qmailtoaster] Errors in SA

2005-12-07 Thread Riezal Ross
Title: Errors in SA

I'm still trying to get a grip on things here. I've just re-installed the new spamassassin-toaster and it looks to be booting up fine with no issues. When I run spamassassin -D --lint, it spews a whole lot of messages. There is one part that I'm concerned about:

[3738] dbg: bayes: DB_File module not installed, cannot use bayes

[3738] dbg: config: score set 1 chosen.

[3738] dbg: message: MIME PARSER START

[3738] dbg: message: main message type: text/plain

[3738] dbg: message: parsing normal part

[3738] dbg: message: added part, type: text/plain

[3738] dbg: message: MIME PARSER END

[3738] dbg: bayes: DB_File module not installed, cannot use bayes

[3738] warn: dns: Net::DNS version is 0.31, but need 0.34 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/Mail/SpamAssassin/Dns.pm line 589.

Cannot use bayes? Also, when I do sa-learn --spam against a mail in my ../Maildir/.Spam/new/ directory, it returns this error:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] new]# sa-learn --spam 1133490574.M794156P14002V0803I003D8004.mail.cisasia.com.my\,S\=10123

dns: Net::DNS version is 0.31, but need 0.34 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/Mail/SpamAssassin/Dns.pm line 589.

Learned tokens from 0 message(s) (1 message(s) examined)

ERROR: the Bayes learn function returned an error, please re-run with -D for more information

Clearly both of them don't like the dns: Net::DNS version. I am not sure what the above means, but could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or at least point me in the right direction? Thanks in advanced.

Regards,

Riezal Ross

Net::DNS is a perl module. Do 'perl -MCPAN -e shell' and then 'install
Bundle::CPAN' while in there. That will at least load the default
packages for you. Net::DNS is included with the CPAN Bundle.

[qmailtoaster] Howto prevent .HTA attachments

2005-12-07 Thread Ole Johansen
Hello,

Anyone knows howto prevent .hta attachments passing thru the qmailtoaster?
I added the simcontrol file in /var/qmail/control, but it seems nothing
reads it

( in simcontrol file;
clam=yes,spam=yes,spam_passthru=yes,attach=.vbs:.lnk:.scr:.wsh:.hta:.pif:.co
m:.gif:.exe:.com:.bat )

Test your server from GFI www.gfi.com/emailsecuritytest

*

I have changed the tcp.smtp to allow 60 session but it does not send anyway,
can anyone give me some directions here?
I have done:

In /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp, changed RCPTLIMIT from 15 to 60
27.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=
:allow,BADMIMETYPE=,BADLOADERTYPE=M,CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT=60,CHKUSER_WRONG
RCPTLIMIT=3,QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan

Then done:
tcprules tcp.smtp.cdb tcp.smtp.temp  tcp.smtp

qmailctl stop
qmailctl start

It still don't accept more than 15 rcpt's.

*

How do I add Qmailtoaster-list (at) Qmailtoaster.com to the whitelist of the
spamassassin?
Since I have added some customrulset, the emails from Qmailtoaster-list gets
marked as spam ... blurb :p

Thanks for advices

It is pretty straight forward, but it never hurts to do a test first.

I'll be setting up a test box to do some of the upgrades on at the end
of the week, and performing the upgrades over the weekend. I plan on
writing a how-to for upgrading to the newest packages, and will probably
write a script to perform the bulk of this for you if you want to hold
off a few more days. My test box is being used for some mailing-list
type testing right now (patch for chkuser to come from Nick in the near
future for this).

Hi Chris,

I did see it, and it is a good suggestion. DCC and Razor2 are great
additions to spamassassin. Unfortuntely, I have not had time to grab the
sources and look at them.

When I return home, I'll chase down the required packages for each and
will try to get them on the site so someone with a little time can do some
testing.

Nick

[qmailtoaster] Re: SpamAssassin upgrade to RPM..

2005-12-07 Thread Harry Zink

Nick,

Just wondering - are there any special considerations to install the
RPM you just finished over the manual installation you guided us
through earlier?

I'd like to run that, just to bring SA in line with the rest of the
installation.

Also, I did all the CPAN upgrades/installations, as well as installed
the Pyzor RPMs.

Yes, you are right, but there is no domain such sksksklk.com on the world.
I am trying to check if does sksksklk.com domain exist or not.

 What's wrong with that? That's how it is supposed to work. if the
 e-mail is going to a domain that is not hosted on your mail server,
 your mail server will not pass it.
