[qmailtoaster] Multi-language support of qmailadmin

2007-05-04 Thread Ho

Sometime I need to type Trad. Chinese at the Real name field when adding
new Email account.

After saving and back to the account list, all the content of the
Comment field are in stranger code.

How can I setup the qmailadmin to support different language at default...

Thanks!!!

Ho

I'm looking at the site but it's not clear to me if this is a pre-installed
ISO of QMT or the tools that are listed on the top page? Is this an install
CD?

Thanks.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Messages from outside

2007-05-04 Thread Eric \"Shubes\"
Yeah, I'm here now but rather infrequently as of late. My day job is keeping
me quite busy.

Looks like you and Craig covered the bases pretty well. I don't use .qmail
files myself. There is a .qmail-default file in the domain's directory which
controls the catchall user (I do use catchall, but many people don't, both
for good reasons).

I use qmailadmin to maintain users, not the CLI. I would try (in qmailadmin):
.) set up a catchall account
.) create a new test account
Do some more testing and see what happens. Try intra-domain and inter-domain
mails. They're handled a bit differently.
What are the results?

[qmailtoaster] QMT-ISO-1.2 Released

2007-05-04 Thread Jake Vickers
I have released QMT-ISO version 1.2. It's been uploaded and is available
at http://qtp.qmailtoaster.com/iso

File sizes are:
541M QMT-ISO-1.2.iso
50 QMT-ISO-1.2.iso.md5

514M QMT-ISO-1.2.tar.gz

I will post the updates on the wiki sometime tomorrow, but in the
meantime here is the changelog:

version 1.2 - 05/04/2007
Updated QMT packages included in ISO
   Updated CentOS packages in ISO
Included script to install Roundcube after initial
   installation if desired.
Added "iso-help" command to give extra commands
included with the QMT-ISO and such
Added script to install MHonArc, per request

Of additional note to those who downloaded my install-roundcube script
off my site: I uploaded the incomplete dev version. I have corrected
this and the correct version is now available on the site. My apologies
to those who have downloaded it and ran into problems.

Enjoy!

Janno,

Would you be so kind as to add your feature to the qtp version? It too has
some enhancements that are additional to v1.2.2. Then we can have the best
of both worlds. If you send me the source with your enhancements, I'll check
it into svn so it will be included in the next qtp release.

2007-05-04 Thread NiX Guru
Hi
a one line that will do it all for you, self signed with the infos you want:

openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -days 3650 -nodes -x509 -keyout
mail.domain.com.pem -out mail.domain.com.pem

put that on 1 line
and follow instructions you could change rsa:1024 if you prefer 1024
bits or the -days option .. 10 years in this example

To check results
openssl x509 -in mail.domain.com.pem -text

Cheers

[qmailtoaster] OFF-TOPIC: Help me send a message

2007-05-04 Thread Erik A. Espinoza

Greetings,

All comedy is at the expense of someone. Since Imus was yanked from
the air, there has been a movement that is taking comedy and treating
it as hate speech.

I've never asked the community for anything, today I ask that you help
me send a message to the groups who seek to label comedy as free
speech.

Casualties:
Imus was taken off the air for silly remarks
The Dog House w/ JV & Elvis has been suspended indefinitely over a prank call
Luis Jimenez of Univison has been suspended over a lesbian parody song

Please go here and digg the story:
http://digg.com/business_finance/National_Boycott_called_by_PeopleAgainstCensorship_Com

It only takes five minutes to sign up to digg. Please help me send a
message to special interest groups that we do not support their fight
against comedy.

Thanks,

Hi,

We have not released clamav-toaster-0.90.2 as yet. When we know that it
will operate correctly on all the versions of distros we support, we will
release it.

We believe that reinstalling simscan-toaster after upgrading to 0.90.2
solves most of the problems.

There is an issue, under certain circumstances, that the clamav does die
and not reliably restart. We are currently working on this issue.

Regards.

Nick

Re: [qmailtoaster] qmailtoaster as spam/anti-virus appliance.

2007-05-04 Thread slamp slamp

one more question related to this.

Scenario I am looking for:

INCOMING: internet -> qmailtoaster -> internal mail server.

OUTGOING: internal mail server -> qmailtoaster -> internet.

at the moment, I route all my mail through my ISP since I have a dynamic ip.

my smtproute file contains:

:mail.optonline.net

what would I need to add?

would this work?

:mail.optonline.net
mydomain.com:internal ip

with this setup does qmail know to use my ISP for outgoing and
mydomain.com for relay?

thanks.

I think to be a fairly good spam appliance toaster must have some sort
of "recipients verification checks" different from chkuser .

While chkuser is good for locally hosted domains, it's not usable for
smtp gateways wich does not have any local domain .

Would be useful if toster could incorporate the:validrcptto.cdb patch:
or the spamcontrol rcpt verification patch .

Have fun,
Davide

Hello
I have been very busy to dig into it , but on fc 4 & 5.
0.90.1 works like a charm 0.90.2 the daemon keeps dying and restarting
whatever the combo of installation you do
remove previous version, remove simscann
installl new clamav, rebuild simscan matching your new clamav which
should be the optimized procedure
but whatever the order same issues, clamd dies and restarts and you get
rejected mail in that process.

I could reproduce this on 4 or 5 fc4 and fc5 machines .. no fresh
installs but updates

so it could be related to fc machines, even
if I had the issue on a centos 4.4 machine (but that's a test machine
and I wouldnt really trust it)

but it did work on a new fresh install on a centos 4.4

I hope to find the time to manually compile it and run it standalone and
see how it behaves ...

There is a new src.rpm on the qmail devel pages which I have been build. After building

replaced by the new ones - nothing more (except a new start of clamav of course).

Strange indeed. There is clearly some breakdown in user creation and
whatever function has replaced the .qmail- files. Jake or Eric, may be able
to point you in the right direction here. We have established that your mail
server does actually work. It is a case of QMT not recognising users other
than postmaster. Chances are if you change the .qmail-default to |
/home/vpopmail/bin/vdelivermail '' [EMAIL PROTECTED] it will work. But that's
using catchall and doesn't really help. :p

Basically whatever portion of QMT deals with linking email addresses to
qmail users is not working. On my box, it would mean and incorrect or
missing .qmail file. What is the newer equivelent of the .qmail files? That
is where your problem lies.

Sorry but as I said I still use the .qmail files so can't really help with
that.

Did you have a look at your mysql-database (usually vpopmail)? Are the
created users mentioned there?

[qmailtoaster] Failed depency ezmlm-toaster

2007-05-04 Thread Ron Dyck

I'm using the install script for CentOS 5064

When using the install script I get to the qmailadmin-toaster and get
the following error:

Installing qmailadmin-toaster-1.2.11-1.3.4.src.rpm
error: Failed build dependencies:
  ezmlm-toaster >= 0.53.324 is needed by
qmailadmin-toaster-1.2.11-1.3.4.x86_64
error: File not found by glob:

Yet the ezmlm toaster seemed to install fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

(ls-a)I don't think QMT uses them anymore but I'm not sure, I
still use them onmy server. If there isn't try the
following.vi /home/vpopmail/domains/company.com/.qmail-testAdd

do anything for you as I believe this process mayhave been moved to

I don't think QMT uses them anymore but I'm not sure, I still use them on

If there isn't try the following.

vi /home/vpopmail/domains/company.com/.qmail-test
Add the below line to it.
./test/Maildir/

I'm not sure if that will do anything for you as I believe this process may

[qmailtoaster] Multi-language support of qmailadmin

2007-05-04 Thread Ho
Sometime I need to type Trad. Chinese at the Real name field when adding

How can I setup the qmailadmin to support different language at default...

Thanks!!!
