Only suggestion I can make is to run it on a Centos system - I used
to run Mandrake, but found it to be too 'customized' for server use.
It's cute, and neat as a client installation, and I still look at it
occasionally, but Centos has proven rock-solid and, most of all,
compatible and reliable.

This could be because I am running qmail only on one
IP address, not all ip addresses (I am not running on
localhost). Is there a way to run on both local host
and another IP address? This box has two interfaces
and a different smtpd needs to run on the other ip.

[qmailtoaster] Runtime problems on Mandrake 2007.1

2007-07-13 Thread Nigel Reed
Hi there,

This is a pretty urgent problem since my mail server
is now down. I am running Mandrake 2007.1 and had to
make a few minor changes to some of the .spec files to
get them to compile. The notable ones are that I am
using MySQL 5 5.0.23 and libopenssl0.9.8  0.9.8e.

Everything compiles but I have a couple of problems.

in /var/log/qmail/send I get the following errors

Maybe you created those domains via vqadmin, and didnĀ“t specify the
number of accounts, forward, mailing lists, etc.

[qmailtoaster] logwatch for qmail

I am a newbie when it comes to logwatch. I see the scripts for qmail in
the logwatch directory structure, and logwatch.conf indicates "Service =
All." I am not receiving a report section on qmail in the nightly
logwatch emails. How do I enable this?

Thanks,

Hi! This is the ezmlm program. I'm managing the

I'm working for my owner, who can be reached

Messages to you from the qmailtoaster-list mailing list seem to
have been bouncing. I've attached a copy of the first bounce

If this message bounces too, I will send you a probe. If the probe
bounces,

I will remove your address from the qmailtoaster-list mailing list,
without further notice.

I've kept a list of which messages from the qmailtoaster-list mailing list
have

bounced from your address.

Copies of these messages may be in the archive.

To retrieve a set of messages 123-145 (a maximum of 100 per request),
send an empty message to:

[qmailtoaster] Duplicate emails again (New toaster on Centos 5)

2007-07-13 Thread Mark Piekos
I recently built a new toaster on Centos 5 with all packages from the
production site.

All has been well until I changed the password of my mail account and I am
suddenly getting duplicate emails for thi saccount only. It doesn't
matter whether I am sending a message to myself or receiving them from
external sources.

I've copied full headers from 'two' that I sent to myself. (just one
sent, two received). I've noticed that the Delivered-To: address is
different for the two headers.

I'd be really grateful for any help/advice.

Kind regards,

Mark.
