Thanks

 Is
there a way to disable spamhaus checking on outgoing email or once people
have authenticated?

You can use the submission port. Configure your client to use port 587 and
smtp auth.

Look under /var/qmail/supervise/ at see if you have the submission dir
, then cd on it and try to execute the run script manually, then

look at the messages the script gives you.

Try also a telnet on port 587 to see if the run script correctly start
up the service .

Of course if the submission does not exists , then all the things i
wrote should be skipped.
Generally speaking the submission service is up by default in the latest
toaster .

Hope this can help.

Not quite the same as the vpopmail slamming you are getting, but I
eliminated nearly all the brute force efforts at local login accounts

Maybe there's something similar, or an extension for it, to include

Re: [qmailtoaster] SpamHaus Issues

2007-12-28 Thread Khan Mohamed Ashraf
This post and the suggestions that followed turned out to be a real lucky
coincidence.
I had recently set up via the QMT iso 1.3 a mail-server for a old school
mate of mine. The setup went off fine. The only problem being that those in
the organisation using wireless based internet access services, known out
here in India as 'data cards' that pick up a dynamic ip were unable to send
mail from their client-mail applications cause the blacklist control
prevented onward delivery

Server: 'mail.xxx.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451

http://dsbl.org/listing?220.226.55.234', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I was lost as to how to solve the problem and as a desperate measure did so
by clearing /var/qmail/control/blacklist.
But now after seeing this I am happy to say that I have restored the
blacklist and am getting the client-mail applications configured to send
mail via the submission port (587). The mail-client is configured to
authenticate to the server.
Thanks list.
Ashraf

That only shows up during local delivery and only if you enable spambox.

Few people can e-mail yahoo or hotmail without problems.

This isn't an issue specific to the QmailToaster, but rather to all
mailers out there. Hotmail and Yahoo's policies are opaque at best,
and they don't give good error messages or info to determine why you
are banned.

If you have a mailserver your sender-domains should be reachable for replies.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Can I remove 'toaster'

2007-12-28 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Few people can e-mail yahoo or hotmail without problems.

Isn't there something we could do as a group? Those involved in the
development, maybe contact yahoo, find out once and for all how they want
things structured so that future users don't go nuts like I nearly have :).

I badly need to count on my own email servers and yahoo and hotmail are two of
the most used mail systems which I need to be able to contact.

Mike

Re: [qmailtoaster] SSL failure notice

2007-12-28 Thread PakOgah
Sorry long respond,

after I ask the user to try sending email again finally his email reach
the destination (pegasusinsurindo.com)

But today, the same error happen again.
Can you tell me step-by-step to disable tls and remove certificate ?

Some similar error i have this summer with one of client mailservers that
 my qt communicate with.
Kerio mailserver on another my machine works fine with it via ssl.
As one of solution - disable tls in qt i suppose, afaik, by removing
 certificates afaik. :)

[qmailtoaster] LAN Qmail Down if ISP Down

2007-12-28 Thread kernel.2k5
l/Hello all

I a using 1 ISP's connection .

My ISP details are :

   1. Asia Pacific : eth0: static IP configures with FST (firestarter)
   2. my another eth1: LAN Ip :192.168.10.2 (Internet Sharing Enabled)

Now Issues i am facing are as follows :

eth1: 192.168.10.2

running Xampp (LAMP) + Qmail Server(QMT) on local intranet based only no
outside mails

eth0: Static IP configured with 50 Rules on Inbound and may be 60 rules
for outbound .All LAN client are allowed for POP/3s - IMAP/s - SMTP /
Submissions Ports.

Now when my eth0: Asia Pacific ISP goes down and its router LED becomes
RED in Color .

All LAN people get disconnected even from Qmail and Local web sites and
even when they
#ping 192.168.10.2

No replies
and when i tried pining them on their LOCAL LAN ips's

#ping 192.168.10.10 or 11 etc

Sending Permission denied like message comes

FST hangs Up completely .

qmail queue show all the mails in Queue .

Now when ISP connection back to stable state all becomes as fine as New
Virgin Machine. Qmail Queue immediately Shows zero Messages Held in
Queue , Means All delivered??How and why such Behaviour ?

Now Can any one Guess why its all Happening like this .

I am having only one domain created on live.com , and /etc/hosts
contains 192.168.10.2 live.com

Any clues ?

Thanks for cooperation to all of you .
