Perhaps z-push would be a possible solution? I installed z-push on my box. It will allow for push-mail if you treat it as an Exchange account. (Will also work with iPhones). Since I had replaced courier with dovecot anyway, it was no real issue for me. If you used the Blackberry webpage thing to set up your email, it pulls it. I personally have a different email address for my Blackberry, and create a forward for my emails so that a copy of incoming emails are forwarded to the Blackberry address. In this instance, I am pushing it.
