Re: [qmailtoaster] Replicated Server Issue

2011-02-11 Thread Scott Hughes
This GRANT statement did not help the issue. I'm going to blow away my new
server and start over again. This time I'm not going to drop the database
(since it has nothing in it anyways) and see if that doesn't fix the issue.

Thanks,
Scott

I will try it and report back.

When you created the new database, did you run anything like:
echo GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON vpopmail.* TO vpopmail@localhostIDENTIFIED BY
  'SsEeCcRrEeTt' | mysql -u root -p

Issue was on my end - sort of. My ISP had to swap my main switch out due
to a failure and when they replaced it they did not add the route for my
IP addresses. Really wish they would just let me manage it myself.

Sorry everyone!

[qmailtoaster] upgrading to dovecot 1.2.x - spec file?

2011-02-11 Thread Eric Shubert
I have a dovecot.spec file (and associated rpms) for v1.0.10. I'm about
to upgrade to v1.2.16. Before I go reinventing the wheel, does anyone
have a spec file that they've used with a 1.2.x version? If not I'll
simply update the one I have.

Also, are there any gotchas that anyone's aware of? Looks to me from
the upgrading docs on the dovecot wiki that it should be pretty straight
forward.

Thanks.

[qmailtoaster] spamdyke 4.2.0 available

2011-02-11 Thread Eric Shubert
For those of you who don't follow the spamdyke list, v4.2.0 was released
3 days ago.

quote
This version adds a new option to select which SSL ciphers can be used
and several options to control how DNS queries are performed. It fixes
several bugs, including one that allowed open relaying for specially
malformed addresses, one that caused timeouts instead of clean exits and
one that caused crashes if configuration files were empty.

/quote

I expect to see much fewer timeouts in the smtp logs with this version,
although I haven't verified this yet.

In order to upgrade, simply (re)run the qtp-install-spamdyke script.

IIRC, that's an enhancement request for spamdyke. You should be able to
find a definitive answer in the spamdyke documentation, although the
TODO.txt file appears to be offline at the moment. You could also search
the spamdyke list, as I think this has been mentioned there.
