I am connecting to my IMAPS port, and notice I can't create IMAP folders on that account either. Any thoughts where I should check? Permissions issues? Thanks, Richard You are not alone. I suspect that issue is thunderbird related, not toaster related. My personal observation is that I have to go into account options on t-bird (in the copies and folders section) and tick the other button for every message-type-handling and point it to the correct account/inbox/corresponding folder. voilà, then it works as advertised on the tin. [qmailtoaster] spamassassin faulty scoring rule---FH_DATE_PAST_20XX
Happy New Year, There is a rule in spamassassin that has started running up your spam scores (erroneously) with the beginning of the new decade, that has a (alledged) fix in svn, and that hasn't been propagated out for mass consumption. I lurk on the centos list and this was discussed 1/2/2010. This affected my box, so I am re-listing it here, 'cuz it appears to affect all spamassassin users not using the latest ruleset. Gilbert says look for this in your email headers: snip X-Spam-Report: * 3.4 FH_DATE_PAST_20XX The date is grossly in the future. /snip Fabian says: snip Yes and they haven't fixed it (yet) : https://issues.apache.org/SpamAssassin/show_bug.cgi?id=6269 Change your score for that rule, or disable it, or change it like described in the bug entry I like the fact that they said it was fixed in svn some months ago, but it's still in svn and not in the $current release so ... :/ Nothing than a sa-update will not fix when they decide to update the base rules /snip Kai says: snip add score FH_DATE_PAST_20XX 0 to your /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf And you should use Bayes. A well-trained Bayes would have balanced that down (assuming it was ham). /snip thanks to gilbert, fabian, and kai for the thread. I am on a Centos 4.x box, and I seem to be having perl issues with running sa-update that I need to troubleshoot on Monday...so you may or may not be affected. Also, that link seems to imply the fix has been pushed out with ruleset 895075. Any idea? Thanks, Kaven G. Need a few more details, Kaven. What sort of rejection message are you seeing? What's the full path of whitelist_from (spamassassin or spamdyke)? SA could still reject anything in a SD whitelist. They're totally separate. -- -Eric 'shubes' your situation: 1) you get emails marked as spam from spamassassin, randomly, presumably from a regular correspondent. or you randomly do not receive mail from same. 2) you do not use spamdyke. 3) you do not want those emails tagged as spam or have them rejected. my observation: your spam hits value has been lowered from the default 12 in the stock toaster down to something less than or equal to 6 which may be a bit too tight. (your header shows a hard reject for a 6.1 value) remember that marking is controlled by the local.cf (mark at 5) and the hard reject is controlled by the simcontrol file (mine is still at 12). solution: 1) you can either raise the spam hits value and probably allow more spam in for everybody on your toaster. 2) you can whitelist a specific email address or domain. if you want to whitelist, see http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/ManualWhitelist the 'whitelist_from [EMAIL PROTECTED]' works for me 100% of the time for companies we deal with. don't forget to restart SA to reload using the newly edited config file...if you use the qmail-toaster plus package, you can 'qmail-spam restart' as root. does that help? -- fuzzy - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
