[qmailtoaster] qtp-backup issue - ftp not working

2008-04-13 Thread Robert S Galloway

Hey guys,

I'm running the latest version of QTP and running the qtp-backup
script. The backup SEEMS to be running just fine (I haven't unpacked
one to look yet), but it is not e-mailing, deleting the old backup or
running the FTP piece. The script is the stock script with my info
added at the top. My host is CentOS 5 32-bit. I'm running the script
as root.

I do not get any output except Backup is complete and located in: /
backup/qmailbkup.

The script has the email, ftp and remove variables set to y.

Thanks, Robert

Re: [qmailtoaster] nutsmail

2008-02-07 Thread Robert S Galloway
I've had a nutsmail install on my toaster since forever. The only
problem/issue I have with it is having to keep paying for updates as
squirrelmail security updates come out. I originally thought that you
would receive security patches as long as the major version didn't
change. I don't plan to install it on my new server.

Thanks, Robert

It managed to charge my cc, but never provided a download link. Its
sales people even contacted me, but never provided a link. This had
gone on for a full week until I demanded the charge be reversed. And
so it was eventually reversed.

Ben

I have looked at it twice. Both times I found something else that
worked a little better for me. It was easier to do myself in the end.
I would be interested in hearing experiences from people who have
actually used it.

Looks like it would be fairly easy. Any advice?

[qmailtoaster] VQAdmin Problem

2008-02-06 Thread Robert S Galloway

Howdy,

I just installed a new server with the QMT-ISO disc and I'm having
trouble adding a domain to the server with VQAdmin. The install is
default, but I have done a qtp-restore with data from my old server.

Basically, when I add the domain with VQAdmin, everything looks like
it works, but then I go back to view domain and it says that there
is no postmaster. Also, there is no directory under /home/vpopmail/
domains.

Actually, the more I look at this, I think it is a completely hosed
install. There is no /var/qmail/control folder like my other install.

I'm not really sure where to start troubleshooting this. Can someone
get me pointed in the right direction?

Thanks, Robert

Re: [qmailtoaster] qq soft reject -- clamd issue

2007-04-12 Thread Robert S Galloway
The file was created again today at 04:08 local, which leads me to
believe this is happening when some cron job is running. It's being
created by user root and is empty.

Thanks, Robert

Hi Paul,

I have the .inc files in my system, but there is no scriptedupdates in
the freshclam.conf.

I think I'll stop the freshclam cron job for now since I really don't
understand what it is doing. In the mean time, does anyone know if this
changes in 0.90.1? I'm still on 0.90.0.

Thanks, Robert

Robert et al, see:
http://lurker.clamav.net/message/20070411.175950.b7329d9f.en.html
If that url goes away, here's partial text of that message (not
written by me)

---

I found this file too when I was investigating the problem I talk
about in

my post Clamav suddenly died on several boxes. I found the the '*.cvd'
file is created by a daily cron script, /etc/cron.daily/freshclam, which
issues the command
/bin/touch -a /var/lib/clamav/*.cvd

This command creates the file *.cvd (literally) when there's no .cvd
file in

/var/lib/clamav .

It's clear the the original intention of the command was to protect cvd
files from being deleted by the subsequent command
/usr/sbin/tmpwatch 72 /var/lib/clamav

but since now we're switching to .inc directories instead of .cvd files,
this command is not correct any more.
I think that the touch command should be substituted by something like
(maybe can done in a more compact):
find /var/lib/clamav/ -type f -name '*.cvd' -exec touch -a '{}' ';'
find /var/lib/clamav/ -type d -name '*.inc' | while read dir; do find
$dir -exec touch -a '{}' ';' ; done

---

I'll add that this is the result of the ScriptedUpdates feature in
newer clamav versions. If you edit /etc/freshclam.conf and make the
scriptedupdates option no, delete the contents of /var/lib/clamav/*,
and restart the freshclam service and run it manually at the command
line, you'll get new main and daily.cvd files like in previous
verisons, rather than the inc versions. Or you can probably follow
the advice in that message above, regarding the cron file.

Paul

[qmailtoaster] Squirrelmail and IMAP Auth issues since upgrade

2006-07-24 Thread Robert S Galloway

Hi guys,

I've been having significant problems with authentication on my webmail
and my IMAP mailboxes since I upgraded to the current toaster. One time
it works, the next it doesn't. If I go into webmail, I frequently get
past the index.php and get the frames page, but then one of the frames
will tell me that my authentication failed and return to the login page.

I'm running on CentOS 4.3 with all of the current updates, including the
centosplus repo. (except still the supported kernel).

Here is a list of my toaster packages:

qmail-toaster-1.03-1.3.5
qmailadmin-toaster-1.2.9-1.3.1
ripmime-toaster-1.4.0.6-1.3.1
ucspi-tcp-toaster-0.88-1.3.1
control-panel-toaster-0.5-1.3.1
squirrelmail-toaster-1.4.7-1.3.2
vpopmail-toaster-5.4.13-1.3.1
ezmlm-toaster-0.53.324-1.3.1
spamassassin-toaster-3.1.3-1.3.1
libdomainkeys-toaster-0.68-1.3.1
courier-imap-toaster-4.1.1-1.3.2
ezmlm-cgi-toaster-0.53.324-1.3.1
maildrop-toaster-devel-2.0.2-1.3.1
clamav-toaster-0.88.3-1.3.2
daemontools-toaster-0.76-1.3.1
autorespond-toaster-2.0.4-1.3.1
isoqlog-toaster-2.1-1.3.1
qmail-pop3d-toaster-1.03-1.3.5
qmailmrtg-toaster-4.2-1.3.1
simscan-toaster-1.2-1.3.1
courier-authlib-toaster-0.58-1.3.1
maildrop-toaster-2.0.2-1.3.1

I'm running MySQL 5.0.22-1.centos.1.

The IMAP logs just show that login failed. Nothing more than that.
Where else should I be looking for the problem?

Thanks, Robert

P.S. Yes, things worked just fine before the upgrade.

[qmailtoaster] Auto-Respond Based on Source

2006-04-24 Thread Robert S Galloway
Is it possible to setup a system-wide auto responder based on the source
of the incoming message? Basically I've got a situation where I'd like
to bounce all messages from a particular domain, but I still need to get
a copy of the messages. Is this possible?
