[qmailtoaster] tai2tai64n binary
Hi All, I anyone aware of the best 'trusted' source (as in site, not code) to get the tai2tai64n binary? Installing the Perl Time::TAI64 package only seems to give tai64nlocal. Want to show the date of ezmlm subscription log in a nicer format. Thanks.
Re: [qmailtoaster] Mailman list server on QMT
Are the list domains are all hosted by one installation of Mailman? Does this mean there's still the limitation of not being able to replicate Mailman list names across a number of qmail virtual domains? i.e. newslet...@domain1.com newslet...@domain2.com Under ezmlm this is fine, however can't be done 'nicely' with a standalone Mailman, though virtual domain support is mentioned as a desirable for the next major release. Not being able to reuse the same list name across my hosted domains would be the only reason I wouldn't pickup Mailman. I think the instructions are pretty complete, but it'd be nice to have a few folks try it out before we endeavor to create a formal mailman-toaster package (which we'd like to do). And for you ezmlm users out there, I hope that someone will figure out an easy way to migrate lists from ezmlm to Mailman. I haven't looked into that at all, and don't need to either as I have no ezmlm lists. NJoy!
[qmailtoaster] Rebuilding of badloadertypes.cdb and badmimetypes.cdb
Hi All, Want to rebuild the cdbs as I have recently commented out all the entries in badloadertypes and badmimetypes after having a zip problem and reading the thread between the two Erik's about disabling them (November 2006 in the mail archive). When I run either - /sbin/service qmail cdb or /usr/bin/qmailctl cdb the only output is Reloaded /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp and the timestamp on the cdbs in /var/qmail/control don't change. Would it please be possible to advise on how to rebuild these (if necessary) as there is no visual indication as to the success. Cheers, Scott
Re: [qmailtoaster] Rebuilding of badloadertypes.cdb and badmimetypes.cdb
Never mind - found it on the Wiki rather than Google... If I get around to it, I'll update the pages for show a sample execution of running qmail-badmimetypes/qmail-badloadertypes. The current text Use qmail-badmimetypes to derive badmimetypes.cdb from badmimetypes. may be easily missed when scanning the page (at least I did the first time). Cheers. Re: [qmailtoaster] MS Outlook Theme on Squirrelmail
For those who are interested, I've been posting my lessons learnt about using the package in the bug tracker. Look for postings from eurozac. There are a couple of references in the .css that are incorrect, some translation errors and configuration you'll need when using imap quotas, not filesystem. A good idea is to also set the default css/theme manually in the prefs directory. I found the size 8 font a little too small so made a copy and changed all references to 8 as 10. much better. 12 was a little too big. [qmailtoaster] servercert.pem/clientcert.pem expired. Generate new?
Hi All, My certificate has expired. When I installed QT some time ago, I remember following the steps to create one, but I can't remember exactly what I did. At the time, I did not send of the request to a Company like VeriSign, etc, and a self signed cert is fine for my needs. I followed the steps on the Wiki (minus the RegistryFly step 4 and the catting of servercert.crt). When I run a test, QT responds - 454 TLS missing certificate: error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line (#4.3.0) So, I tried replacing with the backup I'd taken of servercert.pm (as the clientcert.pm is a symlink) but with the same reqult. The permissions are - -rw-r--r-- 1 root qmail 887 Oct 26 15:22 servercert.pem which look to be correct. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated - or even a pointer to a guide for making and using a self signed cert for QT. This may be handy to add to the Wiki also. [qmailtoaster] ezmlm trailer in messages with HTML?
I'm trying to configure my ezmlm to add the trailer to all messages to the list, even if they contact HTML, etc in them. I would like the trailer to be in HTML since I have the list sending to an address that automatically adds it to my hosted web site for easy updates. Has anyone experimented with this? The man page says If dir/text/trailer exists, ezmlm-send adds the trailer to simple text/plain messages in the same encoding as used for the the message. However, if the encoding is ``base64'' it is not safe to do this and the header is suppressed. For composite MIME messages, the trailer is added as a separate part, with the character set and encoding specified in dir/charset. The trailer is not added to multipart/alternative messages. Any tags, ``#h#'', ``#l#'', or ``#n#'' found in dir/text/trailer are replaced by the list host name, list local name, and message number, respectively. So wanted to check if anyone else has experienced, or wanted to do the same? Cheers, Scott This is some formatted text to see how the qmailtoaster list handles it!
Re: [qmailtoaster] ezmlm trailer in messages with HTML?
Just as I had suspected with this list - it didn't get the trailer when using formatted text... damn! So - the question is then: Is it possible to have ezmlm only parse/send the text (non multi part message) so i can get the trailer each time and then rely on a style sheet on the web server? Re: [qmailtoaster] ezmlm trailer in messages with HTML?
Cheers, But my original post didn't come with the trailer (acknowledgement of VR and the unsubscribe info). It's not since your reply, since your client Thunderbird, changed Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary==_508562968==.ALT to Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed And in the process, the original (and any additional) formatting was lost :-( So I'd like ezmlm to only accept the text/plain part of the message so the trailer is always added. Re: [qmailtoaster] ezmlm trailer in messages with HTML?
I'm not having much luck. Since I can't force posters to have only text/plain settings, I need the list to do it. I've tried what I found below and it does indeed remove the mime attachement, so formatting of the message is removed (colour, etc) however the content-type is still set as multipart/alternative. I then tried headerremove - content-type and added headeradd - Content-Type: text/plain; The headers do get changed, however this multipart gets but into the body of the message (messy) and the trailer still doesn't get added by ezmlm, so I assume the trailer happens before header work is done. It's all in the send function, so I guess it's to do with the actual ordering inside the code. Any other suggestions? Ideally, what I would like is HTML formatted messages to have a HTML formatted trailer. But at least to get things working, all messages stripped to text/plain and a text/plain trailer added (this should happen automatically once the message is right). Use the qmail-tap patch ( http://www.inter7.com/?page=qmailtap) which is already included in the toaster.
