Re: [qmailtoaster] MYSQL replication question.

2014-04-11 Thread Wim Godden
Have you tried setting it up as 'mail1_user'@'mail.avits.ca' ? Because
that's the one being specified... MySQL is very picky on this.

I have the 2 MySQL servers setup, and running. Replication seems to be
working fine in one direction, but not in the other.

The slave thread on server1 fails with this error:

140411 15:02:27 [ERROR] Slave I/O thread: error connecting to master

I know the grants on server2 are setup on the target database. I have
tried specific IP address and wildcard, and neither has worked.

mysql> show grants for "mail1_user";
+--+

| Grants for mail1_user@% |
+--+

| GRANT REPLICATION SLAVE ON *.* TO 'mail1_user'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY
PASSWORD 'blah' |
+--+

1 row in set (0.00 sec)

mysql> show grants for "mail1_user"@"192.168.0.4";
++

| Grants for mail1_user@192.168.0.4 |
++

| GRANT REPLICATION SLAVE ON *.* TO 'mail1_user'@'192.168.0.4'
IDENTIFIED BY PASSWORD 'blah' |
++

1 row in set (0.00 sec)

I can connect using the MySQL client as the use mail1_user and that
password with no issues.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks,
Richard.

[qmailtoaster] IPv6 support (part 2)

2010-12-07 Thread Wim Godden
I noticed in mid-November a message was sent to the mailing list about
IPv6 support. We're running IPv6 on our network and would like to use
IPv6 mail functionality, but have no clue on how to implement any of it
ourselves.

Jake : we can provide an IPv6 test host (VMware, but should be powerful
enough) if you're interested...

Regards,

Wim

Is anyone with a x86_64 toaster actually running a newer kernel?
Please chime in.

Maybe this might shed a light on things :
My /boot/grub/device.map contains :
# this device map was generated by anaconda
(hd0) /dev/mapper/ddf1_Main

but /dev/mapper/ddf1_Main is not mounted. Instead /dev/sda1 is mounted.
So grub might not install itself because of this ?

Regardless of the architecture, Grub should load the newer kernel, right ?
If someone can tell me how to get that fixed, I can test the

[qmailtoaster] Failover replication - on secondary MX ?

I say the QMT Failover Replication howto. However, instead of having a
backup server standby in the same network, is there a way to provide
decent failover using the secondary MX, which can be in a different

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this ?

On POP3, it shows right away.

Could it have something to do with the blacklist in

"-r zen.spamhaus.org -r bl.spamcop.net -r list.dsbl.org -r cbl.abuseat.org"
Of these hosts, only 1 still exists ?

You need to add a rule to your firewall.sh script to allow local

iptables -A INPUT -s 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 -j ACCEPT

Then rerun the script to update iptables.

I'd bet money that this is your problem. Same symptoms (error

Should be fixed in the new release of QmailToaster-Plus that just went

Thanks, Justice. FWIW, it appears to me to be x86_64 related, but not
unionfs related (same error w/ linked sandbox).

I know you'll keep us posted.

I'm going to work on a fix for this. I have a centos 5 x86_64 machine to
play with qtp on. I believe it's mainly due to the highly, highly
modified kernel that cent and fedora ship with.

Hi,

I just tried running qtp-newmodel for the first time, because I noticed
there was a new clamav package.

I first tried building a small sandbox, but that failed. Then I tried a
linked sandbox and this gave me a few errors :
