I'm in Ocean City on the coast ofMaryland. 2.5 hrs from Baltimore. 2.5 hrs from D.C. and 2.5 hours from Philly. They call the area where I live Delmarva because its right in a row with Delaware and Virginia. Both being very close. Hi Gayle, The problem, I think, with my flap pulling open is that he didn't take muscle or skin from anywhere else and instead moving everything up in my thigh and it was just too tight so it pulled at the incision. The rest healed beautifully. Not everyone is the same case. If he could surgically do it again using muscle from the top of my leg, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I'd love to be able to get up and move around, get back to school, and stop it with the damn dressing changes. I'm sick of them. The company he worked for moved to Germany 2yrs. ago and he stays home with me. I was injured in a car arash, caused by a uninsured drunk driver. On impact my seatbelt broke and my airbag deployed breaking my neck at c2. I was paralyzed by a bleed in my spinal cord. After getting lost, not once but twice, I finally found the docs new office. Was only 45 minutes late. Late enough to have to cancel my Uro appt for kidney pain relief. Rescheduled it for tomorrow. Have a colonscopy endscopy scheduled. But I know it is only a MS related swallowing problem. I am not ready to think about a feeding tube. I enjoy the mouth feel of food. Got a prescription for Miralax. It is a powdered laxative. Supposed to add liquid to the stool. I am to take it every day. Sure hope it helps with the constipation. Anyone used this before?

Hey Chet,I live in Stockton which is about 60 miles north of Gustine and about 40 miles south of Sacramento. I have been to Gustine many times because that is where the Levo standing wheelchair Northern California Representative lives. His name is Saul and I understand he owns a medical supply retail store there also.I am also a c-7 with some c-8 function. Going to the gym and getting VERY aerobic with the arm cycle for about 1 hour and working with both free weights and machines helps keep my spasticity and nerve pain lower.Does anybody else use the arm cycle? Thank you. I can see still pretty well. I have reading glasses, but I never wear them unless looking at the classified ads. I can see them without that it is easier with. Every time I get an eye appointment, they tell me I should be needing bifocals at 52 , but I figure if I don't even wear my reading glasses, why do I need bifocals. got some rimless glasses, but I still don't like to wear them. The larger fonts would help me in bed when using the computer in bed, I am at a weird ankle, when I turn on my left side. .Dana
